I moved in with my significant other last fall and have pretty much taken over the care of the garden this year. I have five very beautiful plants, that I know will bloom again, as long as they are trimmed properly. Does anyone here at mylot know when and where to trim these plants that are also known as meadow clary or meadow sage? Thanks!

Here's a great website for this plant and others rev. Hope it helps: http://www.estabrooksonline.com/catalog2/perennials/perennial.asp?id=Salvia
Good to see you here again. You've been missed. Hugs.

Thank you, Sparks. That was (is) an awesome site. I saved it for future use. It is good to be back. Not in full swing yet, but definitely back.
Hugs,

Well it's good to have you back.
I was in the city today and what did I find? Some of your Salvia! So of course I bought some and planted it and now I've the site bookmarked too! LOL

Hi Spark,
When I trimmed them there were short stems that hadn't bloomed. I left them and they finally are flowering. Shorter than the first set of blooms, but very pretty. Enjoy!

S. pratensis blooms in the spring. You should cut the flowers as soon as they show signs of dieing. They might bloom again.
