What Would Be Your Ideal Way to Make Extra Money?

If you could do anything in the world and it would make extra money for you, what would you do? Would you focus on a project that helped other people - like a family restaurant, building construction, selling vegetables and produce from a garden? Or, if you could make extra money simply by lounging on your LazyBoy and sipping wine coolers, would you prefer to go that route? If the world was your oyster and you could do absolutely anything - and like the story of King Midas, it turned into gold for you - what would you do?

I am actually earning money right now on the sideline by teaching people how to privide first aid and cpr. I conduct these courses on the sideline. I am very much content with this set up since aside from earning something, I am also teaching people how to save lives.

Good for you! There is something noble in the way of teaching others to save lives. And there is something of a domino effect for you: For every person that you teach, you may have an impact on so many lives down the road - people you have never met - all because you took some time on the side (and even got paid for it!) to teach someone else how to save a life. :)

Yes you are right. It is really satisfying indeed. I was working with our emergency medical services before. I have resigned already. Now I am sharing my knowledge on how to provide emergency care. Its really satisfying and very much fullfilling. Have a great day.

I would just do music full time, violin, singing, choir, orchestra. People do make money in music, you just don't hear about it as much. I do think it's possible to make money doing something you love. And doing music is a great way to inspire others.

Great response! As someone who studied music in college, I found that quite a bit of time was spent on "getting the art right", but in terms of translating that art into something financially viable... not too much was either taught or learned in that direction. I would agree, though, and I would love to do music full time. Like so many things, it seems to be a matter of starting small, building up a small following, adding to that following, until finally you find yourself in a place that you want to be doing what you love! Music is certainly inspirational. I hope you find your dream. (Thanks for the comment!)

I'd like to make money by watching tv. reward tv actually pays you to watch tv and take little quizzes about the shows but I dont know if you really get the gift cards or not.

For me it's making music so if I could get paid for production or DJaying or performing I am in my zone and very happy.

Are you more interested in the performance end or the production end? Would you rather create music as a writer or make music as a performer? (Or - DJaying, I suppose, would simply be as someone who "plays it back".) There is certainly room to make money doing these sorts of things. I think that once again, on the writing end of making music, part of the challenge is to build up that following or to generate the publicity that gathers a following... Happy music making to you, too!

:) I think that the more that you talk about something, the more likely you are to learn and maybe even figure something out! ;) That's why I'm always talking about earning money. ;) Ideally, if I could set up a system that earned money to pay for my expenses while I traveled and spent time with my wife and kids, that would probably be my ideal. I have a long ways to go. Thanks for your comment!
