The Yankees lose to a rookie starter for the second day in a row as the Reds defeated them 6 to 0 in the bronx. Daryl Thompson pitched five scoreless innings for the Reds as they haven't lost a game in the Bronx since the 70's. Dan Giese was the tough luck loser as he pitched six and two thirds innings and gave up no earned runs. Derek Jeter and Jason Giambi both had two hits for the Yankees. The Yankees will hope to right the ship tomorrow as Andy Pettite will try and stop the two game losing streak.
