How much money do spend on your Gas bill in the winter versus summer?

in the winter our average gas bill is £190 for 60+ days, considering that we only turn our central heating on from 7PM to midnight and from 6am to 9am... i prefer shower than bath and we have a power shower so that's electric.... our washing machine has got its own heating system too so again it's electric not gas... but we still end up paying that much and there's only me, my hubby and our baby...
i was a bit relieved to receive my latest gas bill...because it went down to £57.66 for 64 days... i thought, well! it's about time... because we don't use our central heating anymore now that it's nearly summer and it's not that cold... and if it does get cold, i use the oil-filled electric heater instead.
how about you? how much is you gas bill and what do you do to keep it down a bit? have you any tips? please share it with us so we could try it for next winter.

In our home, we only use electricity for power and no gas.
But we still spend somewhere between $80 and $150 monthly,
depending on the month.

We are on a plan where they spread our payments out throughout the year and the payments are all the same every month, US$180.00 so there are no surprise huge bills. When we have overpaid, then a month or so will come along where we owe nothing, which is very wonderful!

I have propane gas for my heat source and two years ago I needed three tanks to get through the winter at a cost of 1480.00
This past year I used one tank which ran 510.00 because I supplemented my heat with three electric heaters. My electric bill only went up 20 a month by using them so I saved a considerable amount of money by doing that and plan to do it again.
