Chances are it's your power supply. However, many things could cause this problem. The motherboard could be shot...the internal fan may not be working, or worse...your hard drive could be wiped.
I suggest taking your PC into your nearest trusted repair dealer. They'll be able to test components, repair it
and/or can give you an explanation. Cost is minimal.
Good luck. Oh...have you tried your reboot disc?

you must explain more about your computer then only it is possible to say what happened to your computer.
If after switching on your computer there is no response from your computer then it may be possible that the power supply ( SMPS ) of your not working.
If after switching on your computer gives response like LED flashs, Fan Starts then problem is not with the power supply. Then it may be possible that problem is Mother Board or Processor.
If after switching on your computer monitor displays the message "Boot Failure..." then problem is with Hard Disk. may be some lose connection or Hard Dish crashed.
Hope this helps

1 Check power (does it start to power on)
2 Listen for beep codes Video Card could be bad
3 Check your monitor if no beep codes the system could be booting all the way up and you would not know if there is a bad monitor.
4 possible hard drive
The possiblities are endless as you have not given a lot of information
