Well have you ever? The dancing went on all night stopping only for breakfast. So, have you danced all night. I mean all night not just a couple of hours. Danced after dinner and were still dancing at breakfast? Where, when, who with? Please tell.

I hold my hands up!!!ive done it!!..but not when sober...hmm hmm....a good few years ago I went to a bit of a do ,and I had already decided before I went that I was feeling a little reckless and wanted to throw caution to the wind....so I had a little tot or six and before I knew it there I was dancing,with myself..if I remember correctly!!I thought I was quite good!!and my son was in hysterics..laughter...Me and myself had a whale of a time!!..I do actually remember clonking onto the sofa by doing a sort of back flip...yes..and I also remember my friend telling me not to worry about keeping up with her in the drinking stakes..she was very fortunate and was able to hold her alchohol!!...But anyway me and Ruby had a fab night...and we danced our little toes off!!!...but boy did I feel sick the next day....

Nope can't say that I have been dancing all night. I have never really danced itself by myself with no one else around listening ot my favorite music but that wasn't all night don't think I could dance all night. My mom used to go dancing till the early hours till she remarried now they never do anything. Why do relationships have to change once the wedding ring is on and the old ball and chain officially connected?

It doesn't happen in all relationships really, if just seems it does after the kids are born and job responsibility they have to start scheduling in more time to spend together.

Pikey I told you not long ago about a best friend I had that I worked with. Dancing was the other thing she and I lived for. After work we would go to "OUR" club and literally dance the night away. Go home sleep a couple of hours then do the whole thing all over again. My husband at one time was quite a dancer too. My mother had a love of ball room dancing and I think I acquired her moves and her love for the dance. I have so many memories of late night parties at our house when I was so young and dancing with my mom. Kinda rubbed off on me.

Those sound wonderful memories Angel. I am not the world's greatest dancer, but I have been to military ball and danced all night, well until breakfast anyway. There is something thrilling about coming home at 6 in the morning still wearing last night's finery!

While in the very distant past, my then partner tried to get me to do other things all night, I have never tried to dance all night. Maybe I should try it. I definitely need the exercise, hehe.

A long time ago- eons ago in fact, when I was younger. I spent my life in night clubs working and then dancing to the wee hours. 4 AM would come around and we all went for breakfast. Got to bed by 7am and did it all over again the next night. Geez, I had a lot of freedom. As far as who I did it with. I was with many people, mostly friends. I never kept boyfriends around too long back then. I simply didn't have time or want a steady relationship anyway. I was too wrapped up in myself. At least I'm honest right. Those were the good old days.

I wish I had half that energy now that I did back then. I'm exhausted by midnight and still working at that time. I just sleep on my feet.

I had that stamina once - a tuesday I think it was. LOL. When we were young eh Skinny. Mind you, you're still very youthful. I couldn't do it now. Fortunately. I love to get home to my own bed.

Yes P1ke..I was a groupie for this band and me and a girlfriend would dance all the time they played..with or without someone..and then after since the clubs would close about 2am.. we had to stick around since they had to get everything back in the van..we then would head out to breakfast wherever was close and open..if anything happened after that which i'm sure it did then i guess dancing was involved there too..LOL

I don't "do" rap either. It seems very intimidating and aggressive music to me. I suppose that originally country/black gospel music was seen as a cry from the heart and maybe that's how rap is perceived by its exponents.

I'm still a lover of the 60's and 70's rock or maybe what they say as classic oldies but goodies..I enjoy alot of music except rap..just can't get into that and hardly understand the words..it sounds like just someone wanting to rhyme but in a bad way. Give me my past since i never left it!!!

Awww, here comes the romantic Dory................................. Yes, I have and it was wonderful! I enjoy dancing, Mr.Panda doesn't really but we used to go clubbing a lot when we were younger. When we first got together we used to hit the dancefloor (not literally, that would have hurt out fists). You know in the films sometimes when first there's loads of people of the dancefloor, then suddenly there's only two because the two are so good that everyone else is watching them? Well, that's what happened with me and Mr.Panda. Anyway, that's not the romantic bit. Once we were dancing, we danced from around 11pm right through 'til 2am, we were so wrapped up in each other that we didn't notice anyone else around, the lights went up and we carried on dancing right up 'til the music stopped.

I could not have lasted that long, even when I was younger. I wish I could. I would not have gotten into the trouble I got into, if I had spent all night dancing. Besides I had two right feet. I was so clumsy that I was forever stepping on people's toes and no one wanted to dance with me. Then I ups and marries a man who is a worse dancer than I was.

Shame that we didn't meet then Suspenseful as I have two left feet. We would have complimented each other beautifully. LOL.

Yes, p1kef1sh, indeed I have!Of course, I was much younger than I am now, but there was a time that I could dance all night. We only had one local hangout in the little rural community where I grew up, and it was not unusual for the young people to gather there on a Friday night to party and dance the night away. Let me tell you, those were the days!

Only a year or two ago I'm sure. We didn't have to get blind drunk in those days to enjoy ourselves either!

I'm not sure i've ever danced all night, but about a week ago I SWAM all night! Does that count? Our local swimming baths held a 24 hour swimathon to raise awareness of the pool as it's very poorly used, and a friend of mine who is a regular roped me into joining in. It's one of those places that make you wear a horrid rubber swim hat though, and I swear the marks on my forehead from being squeezed for so long are only just fading!
@p1kef1sh (45681)
23 Jun 08
That's very impressive. Didn't you go all wrinkly? I know those hat things. When I lived in Germany they expected men to wear them too. The pool looked like rows of little bald people bobbing up and down. LOL.

Lots of little bald people with odd coloured heads! I make my family wear bright yellow ones as I'm very short sighted and it's how I spot them!

Yes i have done this. When my daughter and i traveled to Jamacia. We went to concerts the whole vacation. The concerts there do not end at 2am as in the USA. They go on till the sun is coming up. So we danced all nite.

I do have experienced like that when I was young,in my hometown,we have the so called "town-fiesta" every month of May and we have disco party in the evening of May 15,so from 8:00 PM the dance will start and will have a midnight snack at 12,then will continue until 5 am.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

Not all night...bars here close at 2 and then they make you leave and by then I used to be so inebriated it was more like drunken weaving trying not to fall over than it was dancing. *sigh* those were the days...lol

oh pikefish I really wish I had, but lol I unfortunately married a seventh day adventist who tho he broke a lot of their ruled felt dancing was evil, no kidding, so I never got a chance to dance let alone dance all night. we did watch ginger rogers and fred astaire movies altho the adventists are also against tghat. anything that might be fun they seem to oppose. yuck. I am not an adventist at all and would love to have gone dancing. now in my old age I just dance around mybedroom instead.

That's a shame. But your love for him was so great Hatley that I guess that was a sacrifice that you were prepared to make. It reminds me of a story that a non-Mormon friend told me about living in Salt Lake City. Her neighbour was Danish, but a married to a Mormon and a member of the church. As you will know they don't take stimulants including tea and coffee. Her Danish friend used to love her cup of coffee so would buy some and leave it at my friend's house. When her husband had gone to work, she'd nip round "borrow" her coffee and go home and have a secret cup. What a life!
