My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years now, and the majority of the relationship he has not worked. He doesn't have a very mature way of thinking when it comes to the financial aspect of taking care of his kids, and has made excuses rather then effort. Well I'm happy to say that he got a job! He started work today and I am so proud of him. Do you know anyone in this situation? What do you think?

I suppose that is something positive but I do wonder why if you wanted to get together with someone to have babies with you did not find someone who had grown up

I am glad to hear that he has got a job, I just hope that he spends his money on children, their future, his future, rather than just spending it on useless things and blowing pay check after pay check. I do no know anyone like this, firstly I only know a handful of people that are parents, but people that do not have a job or do anything constructive during their day (house keeping + looking after children) annoy me slightly.

Good for him!!!
My husband has always had a job of some sort, but once he had the money he was never extremely responsible with it. He'd give it to people whom he thought needed it more.
Now he's beginning to save money for himself, and I'm proud of that.

Actualy my brother, he was just like you said, actualy a bit worst, got expailed from school when he was little for stupid stuff, after that he kept fighting outside, a lot more things, but when he got a serious relationship and got married, he now works, its not much, not a really great job, but still, now its a changed man, and more mature and loving than ever, I'm really happy for him.
And i'm really happy for you, just show him your appreciating, make him something special, let him feel good, [ if u didnt do that allready ]
good luck :d

Hahaha,, great to hear your husband have finally changed his life for the better. Well, there's a lot of people who find it hard to change thier mentality and lifestyle including yours truly. People are comfortable where they are so it takes a lot of effort for them to change it. You should be proud of your husband. VERY PROUD. :D
