Hi Do you still use postal services? Have you regularly getting any letters (other than e-mails). How often you go to post office? I am not a regular user of postal services. I may get some letters from some publishers once in a while. Now a days I use to get magazines by postal service and no letters from friends or relatives. If it is festival season or new year I may get a few greeting cards through post office. But now most of the greetings I recieve are e-greetings. I rarely visit the post office now, before I visit post office regularly for sending some letters or buying post cards, covers, stamps etc. What about you?

I still use the postal service. I know that it's easier and more cost-effective to just send an email, but once in a while I stop by the Hallmark store and buy cards for my friends. I think they appreciate it more because it's hand-written. The down side to using this old fashioned method is that the letters I send out don't always arrive on time. Sometimes, it is misplaced, while other times the delivery is just delayed.

Yes I use the post office regulary. I like the person touch of snail mail as opposed to emails. The only time that I send emails is for normal BS and when there is not time for snail mail. I get letters all of the time as I write to alot of people and they think that I am crazy for writing letters but I love that personal feel as emails are so mechanical and inpersonal. I have several people that send me letters that print them out on the computer yet I myself actually hand write all of my letters. I think that all of the email stuff is a problem in society today as it takes all of the personal qualities people and makes communication cold and mechanicle. Remember the old saying that the best present for a parent is something Handmade? For me that follows into communication as well as it is meaningful and personal. Thank you for the wonderful topic and have a great day!!!

I hear you on that. Packages, junk mail, and bills are about all that comes through the postal service for me, I rarely have to buy stamps as I pay the dreaded bills online at the biller's site and the ones I can't pay that way, I just write out the check and take it to the dropbox such as a utility company. I don't sell on ebay anymore as there are fees for everything these, if I have anything worth selling I use half.com, small section of ebay but its free to list things. I have bought recently some dresses with lovely embroidery on them through ebay, the shipping price sucked but the price of dresses were about 1/3 of what I would pay in a store if it was even available in the first place locally. Since they were being sent all the way from Egypt, I didn't mind too much about 60 dollars for shipping 4 dresses and sleeve covers, not too bad at all.

Hey but in my opinion still postal services are very much essential and even courier services. When you have to send something important, its still important i believe. Happy Posting!

I am not a usual postal user too!Maybe it is a trend that E-card or E-mail will take the place of the traditional postal service.Beside the convenient service it is much cheaper! However i bilieve the two service should co-exist ,only in this way shoul we benefit more from the servece?

i have never been in the Post Office for at least 5 years.i do use postal services when i was a student, to send letters to my former teacters, or cards to my old friends. especially after i had entered college,i became a regular guest to the Post Office, because i had to get money which sent to me by my parents from the Post Office.once a time i was so happy to see the green sign on the top roof of the Post Office.even now when i am going by the Post Office,i am still feeling so close to it.

We still regularly use the post office. We get a lot of free samples and belong to groups like paperbackswap where we get a lot of books in the mail and we also have to mail books out so, yes, we use the post office and its services quite frequently. It's very rare that we don't get stuff in the mail. We get magazines as often as we can afford to get a subscription to our favorite ones too. So we have to go inside to the post office at least once a week every week.

I use the post office very often these days, which is funny because I never have before. The reason I have been frequenting th epost office so much in the past year or so is because I became an active ebay seller, so I usually purchase the postage online and print it an dthen bring the package to the local post office for delivery. Funny though because with all my trips to the post ofice, I never buy stamps from there, I usually purchase them from a local store.

i regularly go to the post office because of my work. i work in a legal department, and we used to do a lot of legal pleadings there. the legal pleadings are for courts and we copy furnished all respondents and apellants on the case. and we send those legal pleadings thru mail in the post office. but for a personal letter thru post office, it's already been a long time since i received the last one. because of the advance technology, we are now using cellphone or e-mail which is more faster and convenient in sending our messages...

I rarely go to the post office. There are some things I still send via mail as opposed to online, but the gas station I go to sells stamps at face value (no service charge) so it's just easier to get them there.
