I have been thinking for about two years. I have finally decided that I am going to open my own childcare center (in my home).
I have a two 1/2 year old and I just don't want to pay some one else to watch her. All of my friends tell me I am a great mom and they wish they could have the patients I do.
I am very excited about opening a successful daycare. I want the parents to feel confindent that my home will provide their child with the neccessary learning tools.
I was wondering if you have a daycare of your own or work in a center, can you give me ideas of activities, learn toys, daily schedules... any tips or ideas you have would be appreciated.
I do know I have to have the basic blocks, dress up, art, outside play ect.... Just wondering what you do daily to keep your children happy and safe and the parents comfortable?

I think this is a good idea! There are a lot of parents that work nowadays, that need decent child care, and I think there is a shortage of "reasonably priced ones"right now! My daughter has the same Idea, and I am even going to help ;her run it!

Good luck with starting a new child care... You are right it is so hard to find good priced daycare, and have it be a place where you want your child to spend his/her day. Let me know if you guys come up with any good activities and such to keep them busy and I will do the same for you... Keep me posted how the progress is coming to opening day

Ok hun,
I have worked in Nurseries, and I think I know abit about what you need. Is your acommondation a house/flat?
Hw many children will be in the placement. Will you divide the rooms by ages;
*sleep Room
*Sensory Room
*Kitchen
*0-14 months
*14-2 1/2 years
*2-3 years
*3-5 Years
Breakfast 8am-9:30am
Snack 11:30am
Lunch 11:45am-12:45pm
Snack 2:30pm
Tea 4:45-5:45pm
Snack 6:00pm
Nursery Open: 7:30am ( Staff should be there before that time 7:15am to set up
Nusery Closed: 6:30pm
It actually depends on you how long you want the child centre open for. Im just giving you a run down. Every placement is different. They all start at different times and end.
Health and Safety, Reading corner, dressing up, play house or corner.
I hope this info is enough. If you request anything else just add me as a friend.
Thanks B
