what do you think should we know the person before getting married to him/her???

I think that many people get married in the belief that they know their partner but find that they dont really know them at all - maybe having no preconceived opinion of the other person is what makes your traditional marriages succeed??

before entering into a new world or before settling down you must try to figure out first if you really want that person to be part of your life for better and for worse ., and secondly is if you are responsible enough in any ways of raising a family on your own.,and lastly is the strenght of love that you have for each other.,Ü

I'm really in no position to judge the traditions of others but it would seem to me that while one is expected to marry the person chosen for them, it is also expected that the marriage be a successful one and many people will try very hard to live up to expectations. This would involve treating the other person with respect and caring in order to create a happy environment, something the other person would naturally respond to in a positive way.

Thats very old tradition.This is happaned also in the Philippines in the old generation, but then more people becoming wide opened w/ this situations and end up this tradition. The new generation parents is against w/ it already.They are trying to understand what thier daughter/son decissions.And when you become 18 you are allowed to make your own decissions w/out parent concent.Adult can live in his own and decide what he wants to do in his/her life. But we respect our parents.The way we respect ourselves.I find marriage arrangement sucks! I hate the idea!But some other country still have this traditions and some province also in Philippines this tradition still happened. But for my own opinion i think you should know the person before you got married w/ him/her. Greetings from Che!

I think loyalty and trustworthiness are some qualities that you should know. You want to know that your spouse will never lie to you or wish to be with someone else. I think when those are out of the way and you are not insecure about them you can work on the others.
