TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is it true?

nothin... i'm just curious if it's really a true story... i'm not from texas not even from the U.S. so i dont know... it's too morbid... is that killer still alive today?

Ed Gein - Ed Gein the inspiration to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Silence of the Lambs, and Psycho
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was loosly based on Ed Gein as was Buffolo Bill on Silence of the Lambs and as a third one loosly based on Ed Gein was Psycho's Norman Bates.
