here in Australia we have to vote we get fined if we don't, there are some times I don't want to as I am for such a minor party that they never really have a chance but I do vote simply because i don't want to be fined...

Oh no. It is a G-d given right to complain. I don't vote because I realize that it really doesn't matter which party is in charge this is America, whatever you want, legal or not, you can get.Besides in my state you have to do jury duty if you vote and I don't want to be part of a jury.

I voted in the 2004 presidential election, that was the first time I was able to. Then I voted in the local/senatorial elections in 2006. Unfortunately I didn't get to vote this primary season because I moved to Tennessee a few weeks before their primary, and not in time to register to vote, and I moved here also before Maryland's primary. So I pretty much wasn't able to this time around because of all that. As far as this November, I'm not really sure yet, I still need to register, and I am not sure who I want to vote for. I am not easily swayed to a decision by campaigning and the media's opinions. I have to choose the person I think would be the best, or at least not the worst (in my opinion). And at this point, I am kinda indifferent, and that usually doesn't happen. But yes, in short, I do vote, and I hope that come November I am able to in clear conscious vote in the election.

I am a Canadian citizen, and my husband is an American Citizen. We both have very similar political views, and would probably end up voting for the same person, were we able to vote in eachother's eletions.
This works for us, since we have one vote in a Canadian election and one vote in an American election, between us.
Since we can vote once in each election between us, we always make sure to vote.

Yes I vote. It don't take that much time and I like my opinion count for something.Even if the person I want to win does not. Like you said, people don't vote, but complain and cry about stuff. Do something about it then and vote!!(:
