Yes I think so. There are many ways to communicate and one of them is what we all do at mylot. Discussions are a good way for people to tell their own experiences, give advice or share ideas and opinions. We can express ourselves freely in discussion posts and the more you post the easier you will find it to communicate with other people. The best thing about the internet is that people from all over the world can communicate with each other. If you have a webcam and a microphone you can use the internet to interact with other people visually and vocally too.

Yeah, I really think it depends on the resource you are looking at and you're trying to learn. You can use e-books, language guides and even people who share their experience on the language. These will most likely teach you the basics or the nature of the language. Improving communication is at least a half-step up. You'll need to really converse with someone either online, chatting or even here at mylot! But I think the best way is to have someone who is proficient enough to talk with you and learn it casually.

It really depends I believe, if you have a work that you have to talk with people everyday, and after work you go out, I REALLY believe it could improve your communcation skills, I mean you could know better when to make a little joke with the client, or how to sell them stuff or how to actualy relate with the client. But if you don't work with the public, and you dont have many friends in real life, then I really don't think you can improve them... :-)
