What do you get in exchange for a Tarot reading?

I read tarot cards and frankly, I don't really know what I should "charge" for every reading. Since I don't want to be paid with money (well, for now and maybe forever...blessed be...), what should I ask from those who seek my help?
My other card-reading friends think that there should be a token for every reading in order to "replace" the energy I use while reading. Before I only asked that they pray for my good health but I have noticed that some of them were not sincere in doing that.
Help!!! Please give me insights!

At first I am thinking maybe you can ask rice from them. Because rice is dear today. But that would give them the burden of buying rice. And then I thought of asking them chicks, that you may take care of to grow into a chicken and you can have for fried chicken when it is already mature. I guess that would be good, asking for chicks. That won't be too hard on their part.

Gee rice is only just over $1 a kg and I always have some in my cupboard - I would rather a nice smile from them and their happiness than a chicken running around in my backyard! Interesting ideas though - good to see the things in life that you appreciate
