Dhoni earns more than tendulkar

For almost two decades sachin ,beloved national icon and first choice of corporates seeking celebrity endorsers , has consistently topped the charts. But now the brand dhoni have pulled ahead of the master blaster in terms of the number of brands endorsed. The rapid increase in his stature - fuelled by india's historic victories in the t20 world cup and the australian tri -series and the chennai super kings march into the ipl final under his leadership- has seen his asking price going up sharply. What do you feel did he really outshine sachin or this is only for short period. Do you think he deserves or only riding on his luck.

Certainly there are many reasons which indicates that dhoni earns more than sachin. The way he is carrying himself is marvelous. He is taking his responsibilities well and not afraid of chasing big scores. But most of the time sachin failed when india were chasing. Since i am from dhoni's city so it is quite natural that i like dhoni more than sachin. All the best anjali, take care. You share sachin's wife name....wonderful

hi,
that is obvious that dhoni earns more than tendulkar. when sachin was at the peak of his career, he had only limited opportunities. the salary of the cricketers was not as much as what they get today, they dint have many opportunities like t20 etc...
and we have to consider one more thing. dhoni was the highest paid cricketer in the past ipl. that form of cricket was best suited for players like dhoni (hard hitters), more than for players with good techniques.
one more thing we can observe is that when sachin was the captain of indian team, his performance was coming down. he was not able to take up responsibilities very well. but dhoni is doing it very well...

You have analysed it well, your reasons are accurate . He has got midas touch. Irrespective of his earnings he has to perform on fields ,and that is what really matters to cricket lovers. He is a great leader, motivator but the path is very long and he has still long way to go. Thanks ,take care.

I think Dhoni certainly deserves this. He is a hardworking guy. He knows his limitations. He has grown very fast in the Indian team. He has his style and certainly leadership quality. His consistent achievements within a short period gives ample indication of that.
Let us not compare him with Sachin at this point of time. Sachin has hogged the limelight for two decades and he is in his retirement stages. The current hero is Dhoni, but whether he will achieve the heights of Sachin consistently remains to be seen.
Dhoni is good. Let us stop there. Comparisons might not be right. Thanks.

You are right. Dhoni is future and sachin is in last stage of his career. He is right at the top from the beginning so the talk is quite natural . Let us hope that when sachin will retire ,indian cricket team will continue to put good show and not let down indian fans

sure his rise in the indian cricket is like a fairy tale. a boy from a small town came from nowhere and now is everywhere. thats really tells how lucky he is. he was playing football and called for keeping for his school team practice,,. and a opportunity in the school cricket team brought the indian cricket team captain. he truly deserves what he is getting because behind his success a lot of hard work aand dedication lies behind

this is not temporary as dhoni is continuously performing well and most importantly leading from the front . so whatever he is making , he really deserves that , he has taken India to the finals of asia cup and under his leadership Indian team is doing well. i hope India is going to win this asia cup one more time. all the best dhoni

he is improving day by day,truly he is the style icon for indian cricket. within such a small span of time he has become a household name, today every youth want to become like dhoni. this is really amazing

I dont feel that this is a temporary phase as dhoni is now the new face of indian cricket. However i feel that such comparisions are not fare. No cricketer would earn for as many years as Sachin did. And Sachn will always remain any brands favourite endorsers.

Certainly dhoni has become a youth icon within such a small span of time. Today success means dhoni. He has got midas touch. But it is early to say that how long he continue like this. We hope that he is going to take indian cricket to a new height.
