Do you snore? Have you ever tried to treat it?

I know the photo depicts a man snoring and keeping the woman awake, it could be reversed though. I've heard there is no cure, only treatment. I snore and its because I can't breathe at night. I never tried to treat it, guess I don't think that much about it. How about you? Do you snore?

I think that's one of the treatments for snoring.

I think that snoring is related to a sinus issue. You can relieve some snoring by sleeping on two pillows and running the air conditioner at night in the same room that you sleep.

Just the other night, my youngest sister complained that she couldn't sleep because I was snoring so loud. That's because my nose was so clogged so I had to breathe through my mouth. It doesn't happen regularly but when it does, it's a little scary. I just hope I don't snore when I'm in my friend's house or something. That would be embarrassing.

I snore alright. My brother beats the best at snoring thou. Growing up, we shared a wall between our bedrooms and I begged my parents all the time to sound-proof my room so I could sleep at night. I lost a lot of sleep then because he would literally rattle the windows with his loud snoring. Makes me wonder if that is the reason I've become such a deep sleeper. I hear nothing now once I'm asleep until my body is ready to wake up.

hi gfp. yes i do snore especially when i had a very tiring day. i usually lie on my side to lessen my snoring. i've also tried to lose weight. being overweight also causes snoring. there are other treatments you can get like getting nasal drops to clear your air passages. you can also get those machines that help you prevent snoring. anyway, if your snoring causes you sleep loss, its best that you seek medical treatement. snorign is also a symptom of sleep apnea which is a fatal medical condition.

I do and my husband also do..But, not every night, it depends on how stress or tired our body is..I tried to follow some suggestions about it like putting more pillows to alleviate the head or eat less during night time! It works sometimes!@

I think everyone snores once in a great while, especially if they are fighting off a cold, but some snore quietly and some are like jackhammers. Hubby was the latter. I was quite seriously concerned about the building falling down. I thought that if I lived through the decibels the neighbors would come over with shotguns to silence it. The snoring one was impossible to awaken, but actually he wasn't getting quality sleep which caused other problems. Something had to be done for both of us! Rescue came in the form of a tiny inexpensive self-fitted mouth guard made by Somni. It is endorsed by the British Snoring and Sleep Apnea Association. It saves lives: http://www.somni.com/

Hi gitfiddleplayer, My wife tells me that I snore and I guess she would know. I don't think there is a cure. Meanwhile there are widows and widowers who wish that their partner was still there beside them, snoring or not. Blessings.

The only time I started snoring was when i got overweight. Once I lost the weight i quit snoring. On the other hand my dad has snored my whole life and has never been overweight and is skinny. I heard it can be dangerous.

I snore sometimes, but most of the time I do not. I snore if my asthma is bad, because it limits my breathing. I also snore if I have cold, because my nose is blocked and it also limits my breathing leading to snoring. I have not tried to do anything about it, because I cannot avoid having a cold or my asthma being worse some days although I use inhalers.

I've been told I snore, Makes me wonder though if I really do though.. I am not sure if it's because I can't breathe right at night or really what it is.. They say that is the reason why people do snore.. However I do deep sleep that might be a reason why I do snore or maybe not I'm not really sure...

I do not snore currently, I'm happy to say. Snoring often has something to do with a person's weight. As weight goes down, so does snoring. I haven't snored in the last couple of years. My brother in law just had a sleep study done and they said he needed one of those breathing machines. It was pretty interesting. The nurses and medical people conducting the study could tell when he was in a deep sleep, how many total minutes he was in it, and how long it took him to get to sleep and wake up. Also, they knew how many times during the night he woke up and why. Since he got the machine, he's been getting much more restful sleep, as it keeps air coming in to his lungs, thus he can sleep better without snoring. Interesting topic, gitfiddleplayer. PearlGrace

Glad he's sleeping better. Sleep clinics are becoming more and more popular. I don't know if I'd want to be on display like that.

I snore if I lay on my back, its probably sinuses or something. But if I lay on my side I don't snore. My husband snores too, and its usually when he's on his back. I'll just touch his arm or something and he'll roll over and the snoring stops. He's also got sleep apnea too, but he's never been to the doctor for it.

I'm not sure. You'll have to ask my dog. My dog was snoring really loud last night! You can't breathe at night? Did you ever try the 'Breathe Right Strips'? I used them before. Not for snoring, but because of my sinuses. But they are also supposed to help snoring, by opening up your sinuses.

I'm pretty sure I don't snore. I might make the occasional noise in my sleep I guess but I don't snore. What I am bad for, however, is when someone comes in my room and wakes me up to tell/ask me something or to do something later on...I'll be like oh yeah sure....and then go back to sleep. Then later, I don't do it, or remember it...because I have zero recollection of agreeing. It's gotten me into trouble a few times, especially with my mum.
