So nervous you can't sleep?

Ever get so nervous before a big day that you can't sleep the night before? Which of course always means you go into the big day in a bad, tired mood and not exactly looking your best, lol. Totally defeats the purpose. I'm like that now, I have to go into a career center in the morning, in 5 hours to be exact which means I have to be up in about 3 hours. I'm super tired, my eyes hurt. But I'm so nervous that I can't sleep. It reminds me of when I used to work 9-5. Everyday would be like that, I'd count down the hours until I had to be up for work and during the week just could not sleep. So I'd end up taking naps during my lunch hour, drowsing off at my desk mid afternoon and sleeping all weekend long. I don't know if I'm more nervous about not finding a job there or about finding a job and then having to be up early for it?

I get that way on big days too.
Sometimes I end up with two hours sleep
and then I'm so charged that I run all day
and never sit down.
The energy runs out after about four days
of very little sleep and then I crash and burn
for weeks.
It doesn't work thta way for everyone.
Best of luck at the job center.
Have you checked out Manpower or Kelly Girl temp services?
They usually have temporary and part time positions and such.
Again, good luck!
Be well.

Yeah, that makes sense.
It's good that you are keeping your eyes open and trying.
I will look into getting some of that B-complex.
I get stress all the time.

I love that stuff. Beware though, it makes you pee neon yellow. Just a little FYI I wish they'd find a way to print on the bottle so you don't freak out for days. I thought I was radioactive or something and totally freaking out. I was thinking... stand too close to the microwave just once and look what happens, lol.

Thanks. I never made it there, every day that we have planned to go something has happened and we end up not going. We're supposed to shoot for tomorrow, lol.
I get that way before any big day. I started to take a Super B Complex vitamin and it's helped 300% with all the stress and being nervous. Yay!
I'm with Automation temp agency and one other one, I forgot their name but they're supposed to be hard to get into. I've only heard back once and the job was 30 minutes away and payed way too low, so gas would've pretty much broken equal.

Well, yea! These few days I have been so nervous about the opening ceremony in our new office that I can't really sleep because I am going to be the MC. And of course there are some office politics which contribute to my not-being-able-to-sleep too. I just hope that the whole thing could be over really soon (will be after Wednesday). I don't even think about it anymore, it's driving me crazy.

This happens to me every time I have a big test the next day! Thankfully I'm out of college now, but I still get too excited sometimes over a book or a movie I've just seen. It's really bad to read a novel or watch a movie before bed because it makes our mind more alert! Anyway, I think I'm lucky because unlike you, I don't fall asleep the next day. I have lots of stored energy so I can do my regular activities without falling asleep. But I need to make up for lost sleep by going to bed earlier the following daw and eating lots of fiber and sugar.
