Your opinion about success!

I guess every person has their own definition about success. The key is the aim that the person wants to achieve. And everyone has their own aims, so their definition of being successful would be different for one another. For some people who focus on amount of money, their definition of being successful would always based on the amount of money, and that’s how they would judge towards someone else’s success. So I guess each person should be aware of their aim first before they know what is being successful. And I agree with your definition, whatever the field is, success is the state when someone finally achieve his / her target / aim for something. :)

Success to me is achieving what you had dreamt of doing and you have achieved it in spite of all odds in the way of doing so. This also includes that you must be happy with your accomplishment and should not do any thing just for some recognition. Accomplish and then recognition gradually follows. there is a famous saying "If you go behind a butterfly you'll never catch hold of it, patiently wait for it and it'll come sit on your shoulders". So " dream or else you'll be working for someone else dream."

Success to me is the little triumphs in life, those hurdles we have put in our way and have to jump over, and being the best person I can be. No matter if I complete something or not, I feel like I have succeeded because I at least gave it a try and came away knowing more about myself and what I really can do. This applies to all areas of my life, as all are linked in some way.

in my words, the success means is happy life, if a person can live in a peaceful time, harmonious family, healthy, easy to anything, and long life, that's a success person I think.

Hmmm.... I think it is a very individual choice. I think you can only say that you have succeeded if at at the end of your life you look back in time and smile without regret. In my opinion the best way to get to that point is to follow your hart and honest with yourself and others. Successful man is a happy man. Some people are happy when they get a big deal for they corporation, some people are happy when they catch a big fish and other people are happy just to see a smily face of they child. I am happy when I have got loving people around me. And I am happy when I love, even when I love rain after very long, hot day....

My succes is to see how my kids grew

in my life, success means getting what i wanted to achive. it also means i am able to make others happy with my success as well. it is mainly related to job. when i am able to handle every situation well, i will think i am successful.

i agreee with you there. i am a single mom with four children, i have no business but i am happy. i am contented with my life right now so for me that is success. yes it is difficult to be a mom and a dad at the same time but i like it the way it is than the time when we are still living with my abusive (ex) husband. so now that i am contented with what is happening with my life then i am successful, for i achieved the simple thingst hat can make me and my children happy.

Yeah i agree with you, success is acheived inspite of difficulties, in any field. I do think life itself is a test and sucess is something we have to acheive.

Success is something we worked for. You can be only be successfull if you are successful in life, in your family, in work, in everything. But sometimes success is so hard to get, you really have to work for it.

I think that success means being successful in what is most important to you. If you wish to have a successful family life and you have achieved that then you are successful, if you choose to be successful in business and you achieve that then you are successful. If you wish to have a good balance and handle everything reasonable well, and that is what makes you happy then you are successful. If you feel your life is full, and mostly in order than you are successful.

I agree with you, when a person has a goal and he achieves it then he is successful. When he works hard to achieve his ambition, success would be at his feet. Depends on his /her efforts. I also believe that success does'nt come to everybody easily!

Success, for me, is when you have set goals in your life and you achieve those goals. Whether your goals were about a business, weight lose, or anything else. When you achieve your goals you have succeeded in life. At least that's how I feel.

Success to me is to have the love and respect of family and friends. If one has lots of money and no friends or works hard and gets far in their career but has no family or friends to show for it then to me they have not truly have not had success.

Hi as2006, You are right. Success is a feeling of what you have aspired and won. The moment of fullfilling your responsibility, you feel relaxed and that is where you can enjoy success. It happened to me. I hails from a poor family. I my-self not very well educated. But I had a dream that I should make my children educate very well. I had this feeling constantly and I worked very hard, faced distress moments to rise finance for the education of my two children, who are now well educated and working as software Engineers in the most reputed companies. My elder son is already working abroad and I am expecting my second son will soon join him. The moment they finished their education I felt relaxed and when they got their jobs immediately after their education, it relaxed me further. I feel I am succeeded in my dream of making my children have their professional degrees. Even now that feeling comes to me when I was about to go for sleep considering how I struggled financially. Of course god helped me always in my attempts. Good Luck.

for me, success means that you are satisfied with yourself. it should be your own feeling instead of others' thoughts. since you are satisfied with your work, your life, your contribution to the society,...you did great job, you made success.

I aLso endorsed your sentiment AS2006. Whatever the goal you set in life and that was achieved then that is your success. Having success is a very good thing in life but one have to realize that in order to achieve it you have to work very hard, sacrificing and compromising yourself to reach whatever goal you have set. I think the success to me is to earn so much money and could travel what I want to go and I should be healthy when I'm old!
