I got bitten last night. We have a plug-in repellant that is brilliant but it ran out. I have an itchy bite on the back of my neck which is really bothering me!

Current helpful things are Benedryl, Calomine, and poison ivy cream.. the ancient American Indian solution is red or green clay. (I prefer green clay as it draws out the poison much better.)

also green clay is usually much easier to find in homeopathic shops.

Hi Victoria7.
Ooohh.. I just can feel that itchy feeling you're suffering. Okay, let's get to the treatment for that itchy mosquito bite. Among the remedy that I found useful for stopping the itching from mosquito bites are:
1. Use tea tree oil. It can be easily found at your nearest store and pharmacies.
2. Rub raw garlic over the bites.
3. Fill your face towel with ice. Make sure it’s cold. Rest the towel on the bites.
There are more at the website where I found these remedies. Here's the link if you're interested in reading the rest of the remedies. http://www.mosquito-nettings.com/

I use witch hazel gel it forms a barrier over the bite and so stops it itching. I also like to use Avons "Skin So Soft" body lotion which seems to repel them.
Hope that helps

Here's the key: you don't. haha. Actually unless you just want to saw off the said body part, there's really not much you can do. Pretty much all you can do is leave it alone for a while, and then it will stop itching so bad. But if you just keep itching it, it'll never go away.
