Do you know iron pyrite? I've read some information about it. Firstly, I think it is a flint. Next, I try to find some more details about it and I think it is not a flint. I don't know in English what word's iron pyrite stand for. I cannot find in my language a word to explain it. Could you help me? ^^
Thanks a lot!

It is a mineral, a form of iron sulphide. It is named from the Greek for "stone which strikes fire" and often looks like a lot of cubes all jumbled together. It has a very shiny surface, and you'll sometimes see references to pyrite as fools gold. Pure pyrite is a yellow colour and it is reputed that some people did think it was gold.
Marcasite is another form of iron sulphide, often used in jewellery.
