My parents had his record albums, yet the only track they would let me listen to ("Until you're older", they said) was the Hippy Dippy Weatherman. RIP up there with Buddy Christ, George ;)

He was one of my favorites too and my fiance got me hooked on him when we first met . I love his tell it like it is and the dark humor . He will be missed . Rest in peace George

He has been my favorite comic since I saw him live on stage in 1873. I have a copy of his book "Brain Droppings" and I keep reading it, in parts, over and over. You don't have to start at the beginning...just open to any page and start thinking and laughing. This guy was the total package...I'm going to grab on to every thing out there that he's published...audio and video. He was and is a national treasure. "He was here a minute ago"...George Carlin's response to what he would like on his headstone.
