Are your Pyrs pets, guard dogs, or both?

I have two beautiful female Great Pyrenees that are almost two years old. We originally got these dogs as pups to raise with our Boer goats to be guard dogs. However, we fell totally in love with them in no time and they became our pets. We have since sold all of our goats but just can't bring ourselves to part with our gorgeous Bailey & Brandy. So, I'm just curious if others here have Pyrs primarily as pets, guard dogs, or both, like we did.
