What are you accomplishing today?

Do you have any goals set for today? Did you accomplish something, or are trying to get something done? I feel like I've been sitting on my fanny all day, but I've actually accomplished a lot, and I do have a lot more to do. I've made carrots for my baby that will probably last him until he's on finger foods, I've cleaned my kitchen and bathroom, only 2 rooms left to go. I've done some laundry, but I have a lot to put away still. I've started to make some bread, it is rising right now. And I'm getting ready to start dinner, which will be homemade ravioli (making the whole thing from scratch). Seems like a lot, but at the same time I feel like I haven't done a thing!

I'm working on cleaning up the house and doing laundry. I'll have to stop in a few minutes and take lunch to my husband who is out in the field putting up hay for the cattle. It sounds to me like you've gotten a lot done today, and I commend you for making your own baby food, baking your own bread and cooking from scratch. It is those abilities that will take those who choose to use them through the crisis with food prices!

I like to know what's going into my food. I cringe when I read some of the labels on food in the grocery stores!

I have only just taught myself these abilities, in part due to the crises with food prices. We can still afford our bills and food and such, but since doing this I have an amazing feeling of accomplishment and that I'm feeding my family healthier foods. I have yet to discover my grocery bill lower much... but these past few weeks I've had to stock up on a lot of things we'd gotten low on. This coming week will be the true test because I have very limited grocery money due to a bill.

I haven't done a thing,I was up til 7:00 am and slept til noon.My house is a mess,I started laundry yesterday but have not finished. My washer and dryer are in the basement and I live on the second floor. With my illness jest walking to the kitchen takes effort especially on a hot day like today. So I sit,I used to be thin, but since I have gotten sick I put on almost fifty pounds.I am not a junk food eater or anything,I just never get any exercise. jas

That's awful, I'm so sorry. Do you have help at home? Don't beat your self up over the weight gain, I'm sure it's common with an illness like that. Good luck, and I hope you find some energy to finish your laundry :)

No I do not have help I am a single mom of a 16 year old.It is my own fault that she does not help.As she was growing up I did everything for her,I still do if I can.I never showed her that I was important at all,I never felt important,so how was I supposed to know that not only was she not learning to treat me nicely.I really wasn't dong her any favors either,we argue almost constantly now. So in answer to your question no I do not have any help in my house.I do have a friend that takes me grocery shopping and she carries them upstairs for me.Which is a major help,I would never be able to go up and down the stairs like that my legs would never do it. I've actually decided to try and clean my three betta tanks. It's been over a week since the last time I've cleaned them and the need cleaned. I've also done dishes and vacuumed the floor since waking up. I should be doing something else right now instead of surfing mylot.

Shouldn't we all, but it's so gosh darn addicting, isn't it? Well I got my pasta started, bread in oven, and some of the clothes put away, so that's a step. I'm waiting for my kids to get home to help finish the cleaning.

Yesterday was a bit of a write off as far as getting anything done went. Hubby and I had a bit of a misunderstanding about what we had scheduled for the day, and ended up doing none of it! On a positive note though, I did start the washing up! If you know me and my momunmental washing up piles, you'll know that's some achievement I'm determined that today will be different though. I've been up bright and early. Hubby has to go off with the car and tour some builders yards so I've decided that littlest and I will stay home. The one thing I really have to do today is clean the rabbits, but I'm not sure how sucessful I'll be at that when I have a toddler who will toddle off every time I turn my back!

I have indeed accomplish something to day but it has been other things than houseworks. As a full time translator, my goal was to complete my 1500 words project by today itself. AND IT'S DONE!!!! It is very important to have everyday goals, this is what will keep us moving ahead. For further information on goals you can read books by Anthony Robbins, Shiv Khera, John Tracy, etc.

WOW that is great, I have two kids, I have been working on downsizing still even though we have been in our house for over a year now. We moved from a 4 bed to a 3 bed so it is a lot to move out still. I am trying really hard to get things organized but I have moments when I just can not get a thing done at all. I have been able to take more toys to donation and I did clean up a bit in the downstairs of my house so that is a good thing. I am still trying to finish laundry as that is a task that is ALWAYS a hard one to finish! For me anyway, but I did get a lot at work done. I work from home and have two appointments set...wait a minute, Three appointment set for this week already so that is a good thing

Not-a-lot! Am stuck at work with nowt to do all day! Its a beautiful day outside! And I want to be in my garden tending my flowers and veg! Urggggghhhh. I hate it when it's so wuiet I have so much I could be getting on with. There will be so much to do when I get home, after doing some shopping I need to go home, hoover and washup before preparing dinner... then it's too late or I'm burn't out to do anything else. It's hard work sitting around not doing much I tell you! I can't really imagine yet what it must be like to be running around after children all day. Maybe I should stop whinging about my work day!!! :0)

Well, I checked my tea plants and they seem to like the rice water that I gave them yesterday. I had been wondering about their seeming lack of any observable growth and I suspect that they might not be getting the right nutrients. I really should be starting on the website which will give me financial freedom but I seem not to be in the mood for doing that. I taught our man-helper how to drive. We drove around for about an hour and tomorrow he's going to do some more driving.

Everyday I had a plan, and I always do things according to it. It's almost the same everyday, and have some changes once it need. I think this a good habit. What I accomplished is that I finished this job, that job. It's don't make much difference to me life, but do some difference to other people. I serve for them, and many people are serve for me.

Unfortunately I haven't done a darn thing today. But, that isn't that uncommon for me. My son is grown, my guy is at work, and me - well I'm disabled and some days are just not "good" days for me. Today appears to be one of them. I'm hoping I'll perk up and get some stuff done this afternoon. It sounds to me like you've done a whole lot more than I'll get done today. LOL

I am a busy mom too, mother of 4 kids and managing a homebase business. Im usually up at 4:30am preparing for my kids beakfast and packed their snack and lunch, iron their uniforms, check their things. My 3 kids will be off to school at 6:30am and I have to do the dishes and all the mess that they had left. After a quick breakfast, I have to prepare my hub's breakfast as he'll be leaving to work too at 8:00am. After hub left, I have to fix myself quickly and open my computer shop, soon before I open it, some are already knocking for typing and printing jobs. I have a helper though who would assist me in running the shop. Past 9am, my 3 yr old boy will jump out of bed and run at the bathroom and will shout asking for help. Then I have to prepare his food and soon it will be lunchtime again. After lunch, thats the only chance that I can sit infront of my pc to check my mails, and visit mylot. I usually spend 1 hour here then back to my daily routine of work in the shop. We had a busy day most of the time so time flies so fast and even before I notice it, my kids are already home asking for dinner. Whew! that's how I spend the day everyday and before I sleep, I will peep in here once again and respond to some discussion:)

You were super busy today! Kudos for you. I love hearing about other mom's days. It's so great to hear women taking pride in caring for their families. Being a mom is the best job on the planet or at least that's what I think. Today, I haven't done too much. But I got some posting done. My spouse is off work today so he is busy playing games with our daughter. She monopolizes his time on his days off work. A minute ago, I was doing some Ebay. I got a really cool gadget. I will probably cook my famous chicken dinner later. It's super easy. I posted the recipe awhile back on my recipe blog. I never get complaints; takes less than ten minutes in the kitchen and cooks by itself on the indoor electric grilling machine! Well, gotta run. It was nice chatting with you today. Be well. Have a blessed and beautiful day.

I was determined to go for a walk this morning, and I did. I walked approximately 1.5 miles and that included two big hills, up AND down! There was a newer mobile home for sale in my area that I wanted to get a look at so I walked up there. The home is for sale but has to be moved so it doesn't do me any good, but it was a super walk anyway.
