Is there Constantly a Song in your Head?

There is constantly a song in my head. It's usually the last one I heard. It will stay there until I hear another one. Sometimes I read words or someone says something that reminds me of a song, then that song starts to play in my mind and is there until I hear another one. When I wake up in the morning, the last song I heard the night before is still playing in my mind! Does this happen to everyone? And WHY does it happen? Sometimes I just want to hear nothing!

I am just like you about this. If I hear a song, it will stay in my head for a long time.I will find myself humming or sing the song. I don't listen to a lot of music during the day or night, so I don't have a song in my head all the time. But, usually, on Sunday morning at church, a certain song will be played, and I find it playing all day in my mind!

Oh yeah, this is so like me! And when I'm alone, I end up singing out of nowhere, without even realizing it sometimes! Then again, I am a singer, and music is my life.. so it kinda comes naturally. Also when someone says something or I read something I tend to think of songs. Sometimes it gets a little annoying, but most the time I don't mind it, it's just who I am. I am a music lover, if I hear a song on tv that catches my ear I like it automatically. I am also that way with things I don't like, if I hear something I don't like I do whatever I can to block it out! LOL I am just very sensitive to music I guess.

Songs stay in my head when I hear the ones I like. Thats not very often but when it does I just keep repeating the music or words until I get tired of it. Songs also infleunce your thinking. If you keep repeating violent music or you start thinking the same way. Its been proven to be a cause of crime. It has to do with how the mind works. I know from my own experience.

Sometimes a song will pop into my head for no reason at all. I didn't hear it anywhere, nothing consciously reminded me of it, I might not even particularly like the song, but there it is, and there it stays. Quite annoying actually.

Every morning I like to jump at my computer as soon as wake up from my sleep. I get my headphones on my ears and start playing music that I like very much. I do this daily and I get this songs stuck in my mind. I get remembering these songs all the day long ans just sing these songs all the day.

I guess that is very normal and common to all of us momalisa, It has been said that LSS "listen to music before going out of the house, and having the last song you hear before leaving stick in your head all through your journey, and beyond. Is usually accompanied by subconscious humming. This syndrome is particularly dangerous when the song happens to be the most pathetic, crappy, albeit catchy song ever".

It is not constant, but it does happen. Once I have a song in my head, it is hard to get it out. That's why I don't listen to music all the time, just once in awhile. Otherwise, this happens more often and drives me nuts.

I babysit a 15 month old all week so the children's channel (Treehouse) is always on...so I constantly have themes from children's shows stuck in my head. *hums*

That happens to me often and it drives me crazy because then I start walking around humming and singing it and driving everyone else crazy. It's funny because I tought my nephew a song and he walks around singing it now and my sister-in-law left me a voicemail the other day telling me that thanks to me, he son has been singing this song for days and so much that she is now singing it. When they came over yesterday I started singing it with him and my sister-in-law was like, wait theres another part, I didn't know that, how does it go...lol... She was probably relieved only because she was sick of hearing and saying the same line over and over.
