info about gas prices

Here's alittle bit of information i thought i should pass along. Today, i went to put gas in my car, and like always, i paid for it with my credit card. The cashier told me that in about 6-8 weeks, there will be a 6 cent per gallon charge for anyone who uses a credit card to get gas. Ain't that a kick in head. It's bad enough the price of gasonline is still on the rise, but they are going to through another unnecessary charge at us. If you are like me....one of those people who don't really carry cash anymore, and have gotten used to using plastic, we better hurry up and get back in the habit of at least keeping gas money on us. Oh yeah, I asked if this was something that was happening all over or just where i live and the cashier said this is for everybody. Hope this is helpful.

That is not fair, if anything they should take off the 6 cents. Now I wonder if any other people know that this is coming? The funny thing about this they might not even notice the increase in the price. When you pay with your card most people don't ask why it's so much. Then there will be a few that will. Thank the cashier the next time you see them. Cause there will be many that will not know anything about that increase.

wow. thanks for the information. gas is way too expensive these days. it's amazing that they are also going to start giving you extra fees just for using a credit card. most of the money i get goes towards gas... lol.

Several gas stations only accept cash now and many already charge an additional price for debit or credit cards. This has been going on in our area for about 2-3 months now

are you serious!!!! this so ridiculous. well, i guess i better start keeping gas money on me, but it's a doggone shame that all these new charges are starting to pop up for every little thing....especially for something as little as swiping a card. makes me so mad i could spit fire.(lol)

Yes, I am serious. I guess the card companies charge the stores so much for accepting your card. With the price of gas increasing, the price to accept the card is also increasing.

never!! lol i think it'll cost $5+ for gas by the end of the summer. plus $0.06 per gallon with a credit card. lolz.
