I have a dilemma- my cat refuses to drink water. I moved recently and only had well water and he was used to drinking from the bath and shower and kitchen sinks, He became sick to his stomach and puked and I didnt let him drink anymore from there, only from his water bowl. Anyway, now he is not drinking any___water. What can I do? I am really worried.ANY advice would be greatly appreciated. blueheron651

I would take your cat to a vet, maybe your cat is sick. Dont wait.. this could be a very very bad thing.
I dont know if this would help, try sneaking water into your cats food, and see if he eats it.

Thanks, that is how he is getting water right now. I have to water down his food. He is in very good health otherwise. He drinks all the water in his food first, so I know he is thirsty.

Dear Blueheron651,
I hope you have taken the cat to the vetrinarian. Cats don't get used to a certain type of water, like well water for instance, and refuse to drink any other type. He has to be sick. I worked at a vet's office for many years, and I know the symptoms of a very sick cat.
Your cat is ill and needs help. Immediate help if you haven't done it yet. Please let us know what your vetrinarian says. Right now, I would be very concerned about bladder or urinary tract infections.
I hope your cat gets better soon,
Carla
