Still got all your original parts?

I heard an old man once say, I'm as old as my gums but older than my teeth. Meaning, he's got dentures. Not an original part. I don't have my wisdom teeth anymore and I've got an artificial hip. If you care to share your warranty information, I'd be interested to know about your updated model.

We are ALL older than our teeth since we lose them when we are young and they grow in again. Of course, the second set is already there, but we do lose the first set, so I have said that I'm older than my teeth but still have most of mine. I do wear a partial plate, but I am still older than all the teeth in my mouth since I lost the original ones when I was a child. Makes me think of a time my ex and I were traveling and I told him I had to take out my teeth and my eyes.........the partial and my contacs!!

I have everything original except my eyes. I had lasik surgery done a few months ago and it's been great since. I don't regret it at all and even recommend others to have their vision fixed asap. I don't know if that counts though because it's still my eye right? The doctor just removed a small layer from my eye so I can see better.

Is it safe? Is it the same with laser treatment just to bring back your vision to 20/20? I wonder if how much it would cost. I am also using eyeglasses and I would love not to but laser treatment is very expensive.

I heard many insurance companies will pay for lasik, or at least part of it. I've heard of this and had it recommended many times. Perhaps I will look into seeing if my insurance will pay for it.

I do not have thee of my four wisdom teeth. I have had my heel spurs shaved off but guess what they grow back!
I had a laymphectomy, ask you wife what that is.(your wife is a nurse right?) heehee.Actually it is part of the ear removed and I am deef is on ear. If someone is talking to me on my right side I cannot hear them. So if you want to talk behind my back you don't need to just stand on my right side. heehee

By having something taken away you've gained the power to ignore someone without them knowing.

That is a good one. I did not realize that. I will have to tell me friends that one. Opps maybe I should not tell my friends.

I have all original parts minus parts of two teeth which luckily are on the lower jaw and are where they cannot be seen. I may eventually have them capped. I still have my wisdom teeth, etc.

I've had my appendix removed, and a two teeth pulled. I haven't lost any other body parts - other than shedding skin/haircuts/baby teeth. Nor have i had anything surgically replaced so far. I'm hoping i can put that off til I'm at least in my 60's or 70's!

I have partial dentures on the top, and have lost all my wisdom teeth. I have new eyes (contacts, lol) but that's not really a loss or sign of age. Other than that everything is in tact at the moment, but that will change. Next tuesday I get my very first operation. I am having my gall bladder removed.

Ha! I've got so many parts missing or replaced, it's not even funny. Let's see. Missing parts - appendix, gallbladder, and uterus. My stomach has been altered. I have a fake belly button. My wisdom teeth are gone and I have implants replacing 4 more teeth. I have skin and fat missing from my belly. Except for all that, I pretty much have the original stuff.

Good topic! LOL! I had my wisdom teeth removed a few months ago so, I don't have those. I had a root canal a little over a year ago so, I have that missing and it was replaced with a crown...I think that is what they call it. Basically, a fake tooth. LOL! And, the coup'd'gras (sorry...I know that is spelled wrong), I was born with a hole in my heart, a broken down valve and a valve that wasn't even there so...I have a material like mesh nylon covering the hole in my heart and a pigs valve that was used to replace one of the faulty valves. Either the one that wasn't there or the one that was broken down. I don't know which as I never asked. That surgery happened when I was 5 so, I never thought to ask and don't entirely care...just as long as Porky the Valve continues to do its job. LOL!
Other than that, I have all of my original parts...at least for now.

I did that to my own son who eats far too many sweets (sneaks them actually) and forgets to brush. I told him if he didn't take better care of his teeth he'd end up like me, and I took my teeth out.

Fortunately, I am still in one piece... I mean, I still have my original parts. And I can't even think of life without them. I do hope they last as long as I do.
Cheers and happy mylotting

The judges say no, blood can regenerate. But keep the rest of you intact.
