Why is that people from different countries or different relegions or parts of the globe attach a different meaning or value to human life ?
for example:
The value of life say in North America or in Europe is more than what it is in Asia.
By this statement I mean that people care more or much more attention is brought about when there is any tragic situation in those countries.
Is it because that ther are just more people around in the Asian countries or does economic well being also have to do with it.

Are you kidding? Have you seen how the elderly are treated in North America. They don't value human life more..they value the INSURANCE money from keeping them alive to milk out every penny before the person passes away!
Lok at the value of the elderly in Asia! I think maybe you have it backwards. The elderly in Asia stay wiht family to the end and are regularly consulted and respected.

Whatever your nationality is, we should care for our elderly. If you are God fearing you will take care of your elderly. You are right the elderly in Asia are well treated no matter what.

Is this statement based on scientific observations? Because for me, it's hard to imagine that this is true: how can life be less valuable in some regions than in others? In my opinion the value of life is a global matter which is considered to have the same meaning all over the world. So I don't think that asian people attach less value to the human life than european or american people do. Greetz.

yes dear mylotter i would say it might actually look like they have more value but how do u say that a property for say has value. it is with the need we have at that point of time.forexample for a man who is dying of thirst more that a lakh of money, a pot of water is of more value. it is the same case here also it is how much people contribute for the well being of the nation.i mean not to hurt anybody but still it is the matter of fact.
I am not debating on where on earth there is highest value of life but trying to understand the value of life.

The value of the Human life depends on various things. Some of the factors are his behavior, his way to talk with the people, his helping nature, his human spirit, his position in this society, his respect towards others. All these factors reflect in Value of Human life as they are very important in our daily life.

It really depends on the ecnomic.
In Asian countries, maybe there are more people can not live with food to eat and clothes to wear. So,the situation will change their mind, and they will have low but basal goal, that is:i want to work hard to eat!
But the other nation is different, their people don't have the problem on eating or living or wearing, they have all!Without pursue, the life will be boring,so their mind also changed, but in an contrary way,to the moral level! They want to eat well, stay in a large and comfortable house, even calls for the pattern, they want to get leisurely life,so they go to the supermarket buy something decorate their house and car, they go to gym for a good shape, they take part in some party for joy,if not like that, they will also feel boring .
So,the ecnomic will be the speaker.
