How do you define success?

When I was young I always tell myself that I want to be successful in the future. I used to define it as having a house, a car, money for shopping and all other frivoulous things. Now, I have most of the things I thought makes a person successful, but I dont really know if I am...so how do you define success?

Success is in the eye of the beholder. One way like to think about success is self fulfilment and satifaction. Another is listening to that voice in my spirit that says this is for you or this is not for you. Personally I think that getting back in touch with ones indigenous roots helps. Success is also mainly about doing want you like to do. If you have all the material things the world has to offer and you dont enjoy what you call your work are you not a mere slave to your posetions? Great post and nice frame of mind! David, thank you for your comment! I love the idea of self fulfillment and satisfaction. doing what we love doing..this is what I been looking for all these years. To do something that I love to do and I can do it everyday 24/7. something that I dont wish to be somewhere else when Im doing it..... but I dont know what it is! do you know what you like to do that you love doing?...thanks for your comment..

Honestly I like lots. People and relationships, and spiritual growth. I like food clean water and comfortable living as well. I enjoy growing plants and tending to animals. I also enjoy helping others with the knowlaedge, wisdom and good produsts I attain. When I leave this world I want to know that I made a difference and that the world was a better place from what I was involed with. Like a person mentioned above about success and relationships...this is so true. I want to feel that I was succesful in realtionships. Relationships with people and the relationship I have with the enviornment and world I live in not to mention spiritually. :)This is why the website I have listed on my profile is so important to me. This is a really great post you have created and causes a person to have to think and evalluate life! Thanks for the Question. Take care.

evryone has some goals in life, whenever he achieves his goals he thinksa that he has succeded in life, then he aims for another goal and after achieving that goal he thinks he has maintained his success. tha's all about success....

well every one has the different definition..some guys think sucess is related to lots of money,big house ,famous car just like mercedes,porsche.ect
of cause others have a simple definition,only for health,peace,and others..lol
i have the idea of success is that big house ,a complete family,health for all menmbers . i think that is enough..lol

you are right, most of us define success which relates to money and properties. I really like your idea of success... big house, complete family, health for all members and its enough. ACtually my parents are old now and I have been away for half of my life now, the only thing I really want now is to spend time with them and pray that they have good health and will live longer.... i think this is my dream now.

Accomplishing goals that you set for yourself and where you want your life to be. This does not have to be material in nature. Maybe just getting your home clean real good this week.
