It's been a long while since I've posted a discussion here in mylot and until now, I couldn't think of a good topic to start. I can't even concentrate on joining some discussions so I just browse on my documents and came across this picture that I took in Hong Kong last December 8, 2008. It's the picture of cable cars. It was my first time to right in the cable car so I was excited to take some photos for souvenir. It was a very good experience seeing the views of Hong Kong from the top. Seeing the picture, it brought back the fun memories I had with my family during that vacation. I'm not fond of buying stuffs for souvenir so only the pictures that I take serves as souvenirs to that places that I visit.
Have you experienced riding in a cable car? How was it? I'm sure everyone here always bring camera on their travels to take photos for souvenir. Am I right?

Hello fortknox75.
I rode in a cable car in San Francisco a few times and in New Orleans a few times. It's alot of fun and quite a different experience for those of us who come from places that have no such things. It's quite fun and it seems you can really watch the world go by while in a cable car.
I do usually take my camera when we go on trips to snap a few memories. And I always enjoy looking back through pictures of our adventures.

Hi pearlgrace, thanks for sharing your stories on cable cars. Yes, it was an exhilarating experience watching the views of while in the cable car. Before, I was nit fond of taking pictures from the places that I visit. And that's one thing that I regret. It's good that I was able to bring a camera during my last vacation because it's nice to reminisce the memories from the pictures.

That's a nice photo and souvenir from your travel. Just want for you to clarify, maybe it was taken on Dec 8, 2007 coz Dec 2008 is yet to come.
I had also experienced cable ride during a tour in Singapore with my sons and hubby in 1996. We took a cable going to Sentosa island from the top of a mountain which i already forgot the name. We took pictures of the beautiful sceneries below and the other cable riders. It was somewhat frightening but a fun and memorable cable ride.

Thanks! Sorry about the date. Yup, I'm absent minded while typing. The date is imprinted in the picture. Thanks for being a keen reader . The cable car ride was fun for me.

I have never ridden in a cable car. I am sure it would be a unique experience. And one I would always remember. If I forget my camera on a trip, I have a camera phone. So I can still capture memories.
