How long do you take to finish your dinner?

Of all meals, I spend the most time finishing my dinner.
A few factors attribute to this:
1. Sometimes I take my dinner outside with my friends or family members. We'll usually spend time talking while eating. Talking while eating really slows me down a lot. I can take more than 1 hour to finish my food. Of course, I am usually the last to finish as I am a slow eater.
2. Sometimes I take dinner while working. If I try to eat while work, the result is I'll take around 2 hours to finish my dinner. This is a bad thing but sometimes there are too much work to do.
3. If I'm at home eating, I'll be eating while watching animes, cartoons or variety shows. I will usually take around 30 minutes to finish my dinner.
How about you?

I am a very slow eater so it takes me a good half hour to eat a meal. I like to taste every mouthful and I chew it slowly. I love food so I make it into something enjoyable by taking my time eating and enjoying it. I am almost always the last one to finish my dinner, whether it is at home or at a restaurant or someone elses home. At Christmas time when the whole family gets together, I am the second last on to finish eating. I have a sister that eats even slower than me and she is always the last one to finish. But sometimes it is a very close race.

Plus they say that it is a good way to lose weight too. If you enjoy every mouthful and are conscience of what you are eating, you tend to eat less, at least that is what they say.

I like to eat slow, and enjoy the food. I am usually left at the table with the kids! =) IT is me, my guy, my three kids and my brother in law at our home, and my guy and brother in law love to eat fast and go do something else, so me and the kids are usually left eating! =)

That would depend on whether I have things to do.
If I am watching a TV program (likely), I will "drag" it to accommodate the show. I will just eat slowly.
If I have nothing to do, I normally finish the food faster. Eating is really quite a waste of time!

I usually take about 20-30 minutes to finish dinner either because, like you, I have work to do on my (other) hands or I talk too much with friends while dining out. But meals should not be taken in a hurry so I guess we're still pretty normal.

I dunno. Never really timed my dinner before.
I know for lunch, it is always about 30-45 mins due to the time given for lunch.
Dinners are usually more relaxed. Slower in pace even when I am eating at home.
Longer if we eat with friends. Like you mentioned, chatting and gossiping makes the dinner more colorful and so, take longer to finish.

i'm a very fast eater... i'm so fast that i dont know whether i'm chewing my food properly. But recently one of my friends after seeing me eat fast started to eat fast like me, when ever we both sit together to eat he will always finish quicker than me as if it is a competition, so when i'm with him i eat very slow for a change.
I also like to talk while eating, but that doesn't mean that I'll compromise on the speed.

I am a slow eater and like to enjoy my food. I usually take 30 minutes to an hour depending on if I am home or at a restaurant. My husband can scarf down a whole meal in 10 minutes or less and that includes seconds lol. He says he had to eat fast in the military and I guess that never left him.

If it is just me and my soon to be hubby I will take about 25 mins to finish my meal and he will be done in around 5 and always has to start on the leftovers. If I am with friends or having a party I will take a much longer time , because I am talking so much or always doing something .

I am not sure how long it takes me to eat dinner. I would guess around fifteen minutes. I am a fast eater, and I am always the first one done. I think it is due to the fact that the school I attended gave us limited time to eat, so I became accustomed to "inhaling" my food. If I am working on something or talking to someone, usually it takes me a little longer, depending on what it is.

about 5-10 minutes depending on the situation. If I'm tired and I'm hungry as well, 10. If I'm in a hurry, about 5. And all depends about the amount either.
