does a wedding cake tastes good?

Have you ever attended a wedding and catch yourself being amazed at how beautifully crafted the wedding cake is? Did you ever wonder if it tastes as good as it looks?
I'd like to hear your comments.

Yeah..haha..i have been to one average standard of wedding.The cake is beautifully design in a double layer.Its so nice to see but not that nice to eat.The decorations is very pretty and indeed the icings is colorful plus sweet in taste.The spoiler is that,the texture of the cake inside is so hard and it does not have the taste of a cake.Its not soft or spongy but its like a overbaked cake.

I've been to weddings where the cake was beautiful...and tasted like sawdust and also where the cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. I think one of the problems is that some bakeries have a lot of orders so they make the cakes far in advance and then decoratate them closer to the event. I have a friend who used to decorate cakes as a hobby and I loved sharing large hunks of her hobby!
