You have been connected to the internet ever since. Unfortunately, your family lost many of its savings. Now your parents don't and even you don't have enough to pay your ISP for your monthly connection. So can you imagine yourself? Tell us. Well, I can't imagine myself. I guess i'll get bored to death hahaha! The only time i leave my pc alone is when i sleep, take a bath, eat, and go outside the house. ^_^

Yes. I have started to Imagine me without internet at home. Its very non tolerable thing I have ever imagined. Several tasks of mine are interrupted.
I can't communicate with my friends
I can't communicate with my Clients
I can't send mails
I can't see the mails I received
I can't post responses in myLot
I can't think anything, my mind stop working
I can't do anything on that day
Well, there are lot other things I do over internet and all the things will be interrupted with no Internet at my home. Thanks for making me realise how important is Internet for me. I'm now very conscious.

Funny. I watched a preview of an episode of Southpark where something like this happened. I think the whole internet connection in the town went down and everyone became so worried and scared. It was like some natural disaster had just happened. But a few years ago, people did not even know what the internet was and people still survived. Now, it seems more and more people are dependent on it. Well, I think if it goes down people would still survive but life would definitely slow down considerable.

HI!
That has happened to me.
When I was moving from the Netherlands to Berlin.
I could not speak German,(still can't very well,lol!)
So, I had problems getting the right ISP.
The first month here, I had no money.
The second month here I had money but could not get the internet connection to my house.
I ended up sitting in these internet cafe's.
Renting the computer, like being in a laundry room, waiting for you wash.LOL
Anyway before that , I used to think it was going to be so hard without internet.
But, I managed pretty good.
Somehow you find other things to do.
Of course I was upset, I could not finish my work properly.
But, after a 4 month time, you learn to except it.
After all,the internet has not been around me all my life.
I managed then too.LOL!
Take care,
Margajoe

There should be nothing in your house that you can't live with out except food and water (and soap)....if I didn't have the internet I would go back to doing things the way people have for years, like sending letters using the phone and so on. The internet is a wonderful thing and I don't want to be without it, but when it comes down to it; I really don't need it.

I didn't have acomputer throughout my entire childhood. So I think I could manage now. LOL My house would be a lot cleaner then it is now...thats for sure. HAHA My husband and I have actually gotten close to that same circumstance you have described many times. Storms happened and we had to use all our savings to rebuild and fix our house. So now we are livng paycheck to paycheck, so it is very likely that it will happen again. LOL

Internet is becoming necessities to some people. If internet is a necessities, better make money from it so it will support the necessities. People work hard to provide their necessities. In your story, it seems you use internet for pleasure and entertainment. If somebody like that lose the internet connection, I don't think it will kill him/her. It just make them bored but as human being, he/she will find something else to replace their boredom. So, can you imagine it? Yes, I can. I do experience it, not because of the money but because I moved to a third world country.

It seems that you have been addicted to the internet. In fact we have lots of things to do beyong internet, for example, watch TV, or turn to playing basketball or some other exercise as a subsititude. You also need to enjoy the real life, right?

If we Don't have an internet connection at our home maybe that would cost too much for me and my brother. We always surf in the internet and if we don't have any, then maybe everyday we're at the internet cafe or something . It would be too boring for us also since we usually download songs and movies from the internet.

To imagine myself at home with out the internet is not something I really like to do very often! But I think if I had to get by without it I would, when I have been without it for a day before now,it was hard but I soon found lots of other things to do.
Being on the computer as much as I am takes up a whole lot of time, and the time flies on here too.

I've actually been imagining what I would do without internet alot lately. Right now I am in that very situation you are speaking about.
I have 2 shut-off notices on my desk right now.
One is for the Gas (which heats my hot water and stove)
and the other is for the Phone (which includes my internet)
I am only going to have enough money to pay one of them before the shut off date. And I cannot go without hot water for a bath. I've been there before and cannot deal with it.
I guess I will just have to spend some time reading or something.
So if you don't see me around here in a couple weeks, you'll know what happened!

Well,if my parents don't want to pay for our ISP but they gave me cellphone load,so I guess I can still use internet with our home using my cellphone.
Now a days, most of the home PC uses cellphone as modem if they are just surfing for one to two hour a day.Having unlimited access and pay it monthly will definitely a waste of money if you did not maximize the use of it.So,you still have a chance,to use your cellphone as a modem.

I use to think I couldn't do with it, then we did hit rock bottom. I lost my Internet for a few years. When I started home schooling, we got set back up. Then I got back addicted. Well, in Feb I almost lost my mom and don't have much time to be on. I haven't lost my net, but have realized I can do with out.
