I use Norton antivirus. It is an excellent antivirus but it is a bit expensive. The other day I learnt about AVG antivirus from a TV show. They gave it a very high recommendation. It is totally free and all updates are totally free as well. Plus, it does not affect your computer very much when it scans. I downloaded and installed it on somebody's computer that was afflicted with all sort of pop ups and it took care of that problem completely. I think it is an excellent alternative and I am think of switching to it when my current licence expires.

Norton will take up lots of your computer resources.
If you have the money, maybe you should just maintain with Norton since it does not give you any problem till now.

I use Eset Nod32 antivirus program. This software is most effective for me. I tried lot of antivirus softwares, but all of them uses lot of memory space of my RAM. But Nod32 uses only 64 MB of RAM and it can detect spyware also. So I it is a good software.

Well talk about virus in the computer world today, the antivirus is the program you cannot left installing in your handdisk. It is same important as a Window program in your pc. Talking about which antivirus i installed in my computer is definitely the Symantec Norton Corporate Edition 10.Most of the virus can be clean by Norton Corporate Edition and automatic scan and update option made me more easy and feel safety when i am online. It dosen't made my computer to slown when i on my computer. But i heard that McAfee and Karpesky antivirus is not bad to consider when you decide to install the antivirus program

I use Norton 360, which is more than just antivirus. It seems to take up a bit of resources while running in the background at times, but does a good job of protection. I have it on three computers and have found it to be about the best on the market.

AVG free, since I can think of. There are daily downloads of the newest database and every while and then they make a great update. I'm very greatful to AVG because of this great software being FREE. When buying a new computer it always comes with Norton Antivirus installed, but after two month I think, you'll have to suscribe and pay for the new virus database download. Anyway, I never found it half so effective and much more consuming of memory than AVG. I recommand it strongly!
