There are people called accountants and lawyers around to also help you in that. As well as offshore bank accounts to ziplock those ideas. Ideas are the same, ways to do it has just evolved.

No chance. This was possible back in the day but nothing like this could ever happen now. At least not to that extent. I'm sure some gangs still extort small time family owned businesses in their neighborhood but its such a different time now.
