I currently work in the web/internet industry, but I am managing my own business right now, so I thought about getting my MBA to help further my goals. However, I think that a degree in the computer/technology field would be more beneficial in the long run. What are your suggestions?

I would suggest you check out all of your options. There are even universities who offer joint degrees (M.S./MBA). Explore online options too. Maybe you could attend classes in person and complete the other online. The degree or degrees you get should reflect your career goals. If you want to be in management, get the MBA. If you want to work in the industry, get the M.S. If you want a mix of both or maybe want your own business, try a joint degree. Also, check with a counselor at a local college or from one of the schools you are considering. He or she may be able to help you assess your goals.
