I have been working in the field of addiction for the past 2 yrs. I have so far worked at three different places and currently work at two of the three. My first job was at a detox/treatment center and I loved it but got laid off due to cut backs. Now I am working at the womens in-patient program that I went threw to get sober almost four years ago. I love it there I feel like I am at home. My boss is great and I love what I do. I am a program aid and I recently finished school to be a drug and alcohol counselor. Now I also work at a Methadone clinic as a counselor and I love working with my patients, but my boss is a different story. I CAN"T STAND HER! She is a crazy mad Vampire. She is constantly on my butt about little things and she makes my skin crawl. I love my patients and I'm getting experience, but she makes me want to quit. Whats your experience with this kind of stuff? Do you love your job? What about your boss?

i had 4 immidiate supervisor in the industry that i am in...most are 10 months and the one that i am working now is heading to its frist year on Aug...i dont have any reall issues with my bosses...i ahve befriended with them especially the 2nd one wherein we are more of a friend rather than a boss we tease eachother loudly laughing real loud and do crazy things in the operation...so it was really heartbreaking when she had to transferred to handle another program..
my boss now is a good friend of mine, good in the sincerest way we share even problems we had at home, my personal problems and his...his wife is also became a friend of mine and we spent hours talking about his kid...
at work he is a real boss, even we are friend he discipline me whenever necessary, he scold me as well and somtimes yell at me, but still he managed to acts as a friend as always...

My boss is on a rampage today! I feel the life being sucked out of me as I type. I'm to the point were I want to quit, but I need my job to support my kids... I've already went into the bathroom and cried twice. I want to punch her lights out but instead I guess I'll just pray for her! I can't belive I'm the only one with this problem.

i work for a very small company which is run by a hubby and wife (though it is a non profit organization, they started it about 20 years ago) anyways, the husband and wife believe it is their way or the highway and they like to twist things around so they always look right. my job is ok, but the bosses are a different story.
