writing short stories

I have been interested in writing short stories for quite some time, i was wondering if anyone knows of any sites on the internet that would be interested in publishing them. I don`t know how to go about looking for anyone who does it, or the way to going about finding the pubishes on line. So does anyone know how to find a pubisher of short stories? Does anyone have any ideas of how to find the pubishers on line?
