Darn it! We have been putting off getting breaks for a few weeks now, mostly because of money. WE know that this has caused the rotors to be shot. Now we can't get my truck to my friends house for her husband to fix (he is a mechanic). Having him fix it for us would save us a TON of money.
My truck officially broke today. My boyfriend drove to therapy and barely made it home ;(
I've called my best friend to see if her husband can come out sometime this week to help us. I think he will.
It just sucks that the truck couldn't get us to the weekend when I knew my best friend's husband would be off work and we could have drove out there to get it fixed. Now, since we can't get the truck there (she's like 80 miles away) he will have to come here, and probably during the work week (since we need the truck the rest of the week) to help us fix it.
Darn, darn, darn!

Quite a dilemma. I would rent a tow dolly and tow it to your friends house. You could probably get one from Uhaul or and industrial supply rental place for around $20/day. Good luck.

I wouldn't have had any way to tow it there... but luckily my best friend's husband came to my house that night and fixed it. I ended up needing 2 front rotors, 1 front driver side caliper and all 4 break pads. EEK!
I was so gracious that he helped us out. I bought him dinner and sent dinner home to my best friend and gave him gas money. He saved us a pretty penny by doing the labor. YAY! Trucks all fixed now.
