Cancer causing foods

we enjoy eating.. and at times we seldom thought of how foods that we love to eat can really damage our health! got this info from the net, processed/artificially made foods really makes us sick... but in my opinion, this food will make us sick when taken in large amount. according to the experts, these are the top five cancer-causing foods.. 1. Hot dogs Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention. Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can't live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate. 2. Processed meats and bacon Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer. 3. Doughnuts Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts, says Adams , may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer. 4. French fries Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also containcancer- causing acryl amides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries, said Adams . 5. Chips, crackers, and cookies All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

Yes , I agree with your suggestions. In China,a lot of food are preserved by salt in the winter, especially in north area, people like pickled food very much.Such as fish, chicken, pork, beef, dried turnip, etc. And these things could be there people's staple food for several months. In some parts of northern China, esophageal cancer and gastric cancer incidence rate is high, the reason is that the residents there have a excessive intake of salt.

yes eating foods high in salt really does damaged our body! did you know that in a day, a pinch of salt is the only required intake of our body! honestly everytime i cook, i put half teaspoon of salt! knowing its too much.. excessive is not good... too little is not good too..

Why is it all the yummy things are no good for us, it's not fair, I seem to like all the things that are no good and the things that we are supposed to eat I don't like.

i don't know the reason too. and my mom really does hate to see yummy foods she's diabetic and she really hates to us eating ice creams and other sweet stuff... actually eating those foods are not really bad when taken moderately! don't worry... eating a piece in a day won't kill a bit of your cell... just maintain a balance diet...

I rarely eat those foods and when I do, it's for a special occasion or an occasional treat. I don't believe in depriving yourself foodwise because you think it might harm you. Everything must be done in moderation. It's when you eat those foods as part of your regular diet that it gets to be a problem. A lot of people eat those foods and don't eat any healthy fruits or vegetables at all. That's when they become a problem

Hello, Chechuva. Thanks for sharing this information with us. Many times, we just start eating without taking care of the risks. We just eat for the pleasure, sometimes not for the hunger. But I don't think that we should worry too much about the food. Of course, it is an important part in our lives, but you don't need to keep counting and make a high selection of what you will eat or not. Just know how to moderate things, and you will be alright. That's what I believe in. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Well its a good thing I don't usually eat this stuff . . . I think practically everything except vegetables (possibly that to) will give you cancer. It's kind of dissappointing. It's best to go organic in my opinion but it can be really pricey. It is kind of hard to avoid trans-fats these days but if your only eating traces of it, then chances are it's not going to have much of an impact on your health.

Thank you for started this one. When my daughter was about seven years old she was diagnosed with hyperactivity. The doctor told me I had a choice: Either put her on Ridolin or take the processed foods out of her diet. The effect on her when she didn't eat the processed stuff and then when she did was utterly amazing. I have heard that alot of the supposed autism could be because of this also.

I'm sorry, but if we followed all of the suggestions of what is bad for us, we might as well not eat and not take a breath of air either. Years ago eggs were bad for you, now they are good protein if eaten in moderation. I'm not saying anyone should live entirely on the items you listed, but if you eat such things in moderation I really don't believe you'll develope cancer. Ever seen how much smog is floating above your home? Next we will be told to wear a gas mask. We all die, eventually. I'm not going to obsess over just what it is that will take me out in the end.

This is so true! The thing is I have to stand up for french frys. They are nothing more than a potato and nothing about a potato is bad. Like with all naturally accuring foods that you fry, It depends on the type of oil you fry them in. Some oils are actually very good for us, such as soy oil. The sodium Nitrate is for sure bad! Another chemical fed to the masses that is no good is Monosodium Glutamate these 2 are responsible for more cancer than people are aware of. Great post and keep keeping us health conscience with posts like these. Thanks sincerely

I was going to do an all raw fruits and veggies detox once... made it half a day and broke down. I like to go with the "everything in moderation" school of thought. But I definitely think minimizing the fats is a good thing.

So i wonder if they have in them what they say and what they say is true about whats in them. why do they sell them? i mean yea we can buy them short term but what about long term. if we all die they have no one to buy their product. LMAO...

In this health crazy world we live in there will always be these so-called experts telling you that something causes something. The truth is they may contribute an ingredient to a cause or contribute to it but don't actually cause it themselves. If somebody injected cancer into you they gave you cancer but if something has a cancer ingredient in it it doesn't give you cancer. It MIGHT just be a contributary cause. One of many such things. Everyone has cancer cells. Only if they become activated can you suffer or die from cancer. So all these things are just a bang-up to scare you or make you feel they are doing something worthwhile.

I read this one before also and I think we really need to be careful with the food we eat everyday. And in order to keep ourselves away from any sickness especially cancer we need to lessen our consumption of these foods.
