Our country was struck by a typhoon leaving most of the areas flooded. It was so devastating to the country. For 2 weeks I have been praying that the rain would stop. Why am I worried? Because it's so hard to go home after work because I have to commute and taxicabs are unavailable.. Ride the bus or jeepney? No thanks! And then after two weeks, the rain stopped. However it turned out that it was a typhoon brewing after all. And it struck some other parts of the country with no mercy. Washing out entire houses, leaving streets flooded and people stranded, sinking a ship liner with a thousand people trapped inside it. Wow! Price of commodities will surely rise again due to this. To my country, to families, you have my prayers. We will survive and rise again!

Hi Svelte.. Really it is a sorry state of affairs for your country. And undoubtedly every noble heart here in mylot will pray for the restoration of normalcy in quick time. I had many friends here from philipines, and when i enquired about my friend not turning to mylot for more than 15 days she mailed me, that her father's home was damaged by the severe typhoon. Realy shocked when i read her mail. My friend Svelte, surely the government of yours will act swiftly to restore normalcy in day today life. Every one, here.. could visualise what a torrid time that you people would be under going. I pray to god, on behalf of all mylotters here.. please give relief to my filipino friends.

Thank you very much for sharing the same feeling with me. What happened to your friend was really true and the government are doing everything that they can to restore the cities destroyed by the storm. All efforts are also exhausted by the businessmen to give their support and assistance to these people and of course we can't forget all the prayers that our brothers and sisters from all over the world is extending..just like you. We may not be of the same nationality but we are all human and dispensable.

Thank you lilaclady, I really appreciate it. I think the thing that we can do nowadays is do whatever we can do to conserve and preserve our mother nature in the most simple and "littlest" way that we can. A small thing can always mean a lot when it comes to nature and this might add another year to the remaining days of our mother nature.
