Associated Content Writers with a Clout Level of 7 or More are getting Raises!

I just checked my messages at Associated Content and there was an announcement that is sort of exciting. AC is giving increased pay per performance payments to all Content Producers with a clout level of 7 or more, beginning with the next payment and continuing after that! Wow, that is pretty exciting and my clout level isn't even near a 7! But there are alot of people there that will be getting more money and I bet they are stoked. I am already in the process of building up my article count there, and this just makes me want to do it faster. What do all you Content Producers think of this? PearlGrace

That would be great- if I was anywhere near a 7. My clout level is 4, and I have been neglecting writing lately. I have also been neglecting promoting my content. I guess I'll have to get busy with that if I want to take advantage of the increased payments. Thanks for the heads up, it will hopefully help motivate me. My link to my CP page is in my profile, if you're interested. Tell me your name at AC and I'll read some of your stuff too. We can help each other out.

Hello Sillychick. Well, you are one AC clout level ahead of me! I'm just now trying to build up my articles there. I have only 11 or 12 but I'm trying to do one every other day. So, we are in the same boat! I will definitely check out the link to your AC page and rate your articles. I am going to try to figure out how to put my link in my myLot profile. I write at AC under the name I use here, Pearl Grace (with a space between the names). Good luck and let's get writing. I will be checking out your AC stuff now! PearlGrace

Hey Sillychick. I did not see your link to AC on your myLot profile page. Is it there? Am I missing it? I'll check at AC under the name Sillychick. Take Care. PearlGrace

If anyone wants to check out my stuff it is listed as Amanda R M. That's my real first name but I didn't want to put my last name. But yeah feel free to check me out, favorite me if you want and I'll favorite you! We can hopefully help each other catch up to that clout level and all and get each other some more page views. Feel free to pass me around to anyone you know if they want to read more CPs. I don't have too many ppl reading muy stuff now. Only been paid once. It's weird though that they pay you in like seven or eight payments though, most of them less than a dollar. That is just kinda strange but at least they pay! Woohoo!

I'd be a lot more excited if I wasn't stuck on a clout level of 6....LOL. This is great news. I haven't had time to write there recently, but have just started back and hope to get to level 7 in pretty short order so that I can reap some of those financial benefits.

Hey there, inked4life. Well, a clout level of 6 on Associated Content doesn't sound too bad to me, I'm a measly 3! So, you've only got 1 level to go, and I've got 4. I think it's going to be a very long time before I get to 7... Keep working and you'll get there. PearlGrace

I recall seeing something about it, and I'm not sure how much it will benefit me even though my clout level is at 7, which isn't as impressive as it sounds since I don't actually have a lot of articles on Associated Content and a few that I have on there have been there for around two years. I don't submit often because my freelance editing assignments take up much of my time and are given priority because they pay more. I'm trying to make an effort to submit articles every now and then because one content site I wrote for actually rendered my account inactive after I didn't post for three months. Now, I can't submit articles to them at all. While AC doesn't work that way, I do want to keep my account active and my content fresh.

Hi DreamOn01. Well, to me, a clout level of 7 right now on Associated Content would be just fantastic. Good for you. Of course, it makes sense you would spend time on the editing as it pays more. It's a good thing that you've kept up adding articles to AC now and then to keep your account active. As I only have a clout level of 3 on AC, I think it will take a long time (maybe a year?) to get to 7 and that's writing plenty of articles that get lots of hits. Take care. PearlGrace

Well that's great news! Thanks for the info, pearlgrace! Time for me to start writing more articles (I've been slacking a bit with the kids home. I'm pretty sure my clout is up to at least a 7.

Good for you! I must ask, even if you are not actively writing on AC, if you have a nice number of articles (let's say 100), would you still make a payout monthly? Just wondering...

PearlGrace, they want you to write at least one article every ninety days to remain active. However, even if you aren't active you get your performance pay after it reaches a certain level (I think it is $15.00 but not sure). However, one article every 90 days really isn't that hard to do!

I wouldn't have known about this had I not seen your post. I have a clout level of five and am getting pretty close to making it six. This definitely makes me want to build my clout up bigger, better, and faster. Not only does it mean more money for more page views, but more money for those page views. I think this is probably a great thing for them to do to increase the amount of articles their site has without paying a lot more for it. After all, they aren't changing much and with lots of people wanting an increase in their performance pay...

Greetings, aidenofthetower. Glad you saw this discussion about Associated Content. Good for you that you have a clout level of 5, I'm only at 3 and I can't even fathom how long it will take me to get to 7. Yes, AC is thinking "incentive" to build up their article base. It's sort of the ole carrot on the stick routine. And I must say, I am going after that carrot! Hope you reach a clout level of 7 very soon. Take care. PearlGrace

I saw it too, it really doesn't benefit me because I'm just starting out. But I've found about 20 people on myLot that write for AC and I'm requesting that they put their AC link on their myLot page. Its helped me get about 500 more hits.

I've only got about 10 articles on AC myself, but I'm working now to change that. I have been looking at my myLot profile page trying to figure out how to get my AC link on there. I'm sure I'll eventually figure it out. 500 hits would nearly double my hits at this point. Thanks, gitfiddleplayer.

I read about this earlier today. I like the idea, but like you I'm not at clout 7 yet. I'm at 4 so I have a ways to go. I do have plans to submit some more articles to them soon. I have 2 submitted that I haven't heard back about, and I'm going to put some on just for performance payments that I have other places. Hopefully all that will help me! Good luck to everyone who will benefit from the new plan!

Hello sunnflr. I have been placing some of my articles from another website on to Associated Content. It is more work though, by the time I write the article overview, the 3 content highlights, decide about an interesting fact to include, and find 3 web resources to include at AC. It does make for a more interesting read, I think. Even if I don't make it to clout level of 7, it's bound to rise past 3. Guess we know what we'll be doing in our spare time... PearlGrace

Nice! I didn't know that! I haven't logged into AC in quite a while but as soon as I saw this post I checked my clout level. It's only a 4 right now. I guess I better get writing, writing, writing!

Zhuuraan, Well, a clout level of 4 on AC doesn't sound to bad to me, I'm at 3! Guess we both need to get to writing those articles for Associated Content. I don't have a sense of how quickly the "hits" count up at AC but I have a feeling it's going to take me a pretty long time to get to a clout level of 7. Good luck and take care. PearlGrace
