I always thought that the Sabath was on a Sunday. However, after I studied a little more I see that it is on a Saturday. But, in the New Testament Jesus talks about the Sabath and how as christians we are no longer under the law. I believe that we need to reserve 1 day of the week for rest but I don't think that it has to be a Saturday.

Hi lottery. You asked if you can break the other 9? Well yes it's permissible and you have the choice. But is it wise and profitable? No. Great question though :0)

I think it's different for different types of religions. Christians, muslims, Jews all have different days of sabath. I think the importance lies in the fact pretty much every religion has a resting day, rather then the specific day. One can ponder though what it is that has made it so that a religion chooses a specific day? I am sorry not to be able to provide more info on that, I hope you will get a few more good responses that might clear things up.

I'm christian so for me it's Sunday. I think it's what a person does out of their heart. For instance if a person was working a job that only allowed them to have off Mondays and Tuesdays, they were never off on the week-end. And they chose to use Tuesday as their sabbath, I think it would be pleasing to God. I don't think it's the day of the week so much as what we're doing with the day we call sabbath. This is just my opinion of course.
