Debt? Who's resposibility is it?

Actually the their is no legal binding on us, to repay the debt of the parents or any one who has passed away... But the society with which we live may look up on as cheaters, and will..create an image in the society.. as if we are enjoying the debts.. And, to avoid such, embrassing comments.. most of the people will under take to repay the debts... of their parents or the kith and kins...as if it was their own debt.. What i said above is the practice in my society..
