car wont start

I'm going to try to help you. We own a 87 delta 88 and have done all the car work ourselves on it: I'm not quite understanding your problem thou. When you turn the key: 1) do your lights dim? 2) Does it turn all the way or stop at a certain point? 3) What if any sound does it make when this all happens?
