Indian cricket is going through an exciting phase. The average age of the ODI team is 23 years and captain M.S.Dhoni has been compared to some of the great captains. But the question is can they win trophies without Sachin? I'm asking this because the youth in the team need someone who can guide them till they are mature enough to handle various situations. India would have won the CB series without Sachin and in the tri series in Bangladesh they were lethargic in the finals. SACHIN TENDULKAR presence would have made a huge impact on the outcome. I don't say India cant win without Sachin but they need him to take the team forward for sometime before he hands the mantle to the youngsters. Ur views please..

team india, has benefited a lot from the master blaster sachin for the past 16 years and there have been times when indian batting totally depended on sachin.but for now things have started to change with the arrival of some exiting talents like rohit, raina, gambhir, yuvaraj but still i think it is best to have sachin as the batting coach as his experience is invaluable..........

Sachin is undoubtedly the mastero and legend in cricket. How long will he deliver. Certainly there are peak points and low points in one's career. And so,i feel it is time for sachin to retire from international cricket, and this i stress because, of late when he performs in one match, he needs another 10 matches to perform.
If the usual Complacency that is creeping time and again the Indian cricket team, does not find it way through in this Asia cup, then we will have no problems in winning the cup.

The winning or losing can be predicted depending upon the opposition. If we talk about the ASIA CUP, India are the favourites and they should win even in the absence of Sachin Tendulkar or other experienced players like Saurav ganguly and Rahul Dravid. If we are playing against teams like Australia or South Africa then this experience will be very handy and just the presence of Sachin tendulkar will be a great boost.
India has got a brillant team. Most of the players are confident and i great form, they have performed tremendously well in the inaugural IPL. Don't just compare the ages, see the no: of matches these players have played. Although some are young and have just started their careers while players like Yuvraj (200+ ODI's), Virender Sehwag (186 ODIs), MS Dhoni (109 ODIs), Irfan Pathan (almost 100 ODIS). they are not new, they have a bunch of experience around them. let them spearhead the team now.
Although they lost the finals against Pakistan in the tri-series in Bangladesh. But it was a case of bad luck and poor performance. Younis Khan and Salman Butt cant always score hundreds. This loss, i believe, is a blessing in disguise. Indian players will prepare well now.
Cheers!

i feel that this team can win matches without Sachin Tendulkar or any other senior player. It has proved this fact with T20 world cup and other subsequent matches.
MS Dhoni has been a very inspirational captain, and has always given confidence in youngsters.
Though Sachin's presence will only help the team , it can also perform without him.

indian team is doing well without sachin winning t-20 and i accept that we need experience player like sachin to guide the team ,but dhoni and his team doing a fabolous job.wining in oz and recent tri series what else we want ,dhoni has been compared to one of the best captains well he is still young and plenty of work to do .he will become the best captain of the world
