Who eats raw garlic? I have been eating raw garlic for awhile now because it has helped with my blood pressure and I want to keep it under control. hat I don't like is it hurts my stomach at first whe it hits it. If I drink something cool real fast then it doesn't bother me. Anyone else has that problem.

hi friend, eating raw garlic has been used as a natural cure for centuries for everything from treating the common cold to fighting skin fungus. Garlic, hot peppers, and onions have been used to prevent and treat colds for centuries. Some hot salsa will clear out your sinuses quickly. Some claim that skin fungus can be remedied and prevented by eating a few crushed cloves of fresh raw garlic daily. Fungus doesn't like garlic in your bodies' sweat.thanks

I like garlic in my food. I eat it often. But have never eaten raw garlic. I think it would be way to strong for me. And I would still like to be able to kiss my hubby. Glad that it helps with the blood pressure. It is probably a healthier alternative to some of the blood thinners my grandmother used to take. That lead to excessive bruising.

You are correct that garlic is said to assist in lowering the blood pressure. I love garlic and put it in almost every dish that I prepare. I have never just eaten a clove of garlic alone, and so I don't know if it would burn my stomach. As a previous poster stated, there are garlic capsules available at many retailers. Are you eating the garlic on an empty stomach? Perhaps having some small amount of food in the stomach before eating the garlic might help.

Hello,i'm an student of indian medicine. In india we boil the garlic cloves in milk and take the milk. It helps to remove the penetrating power of garlic. Taking garlic with butter will also reduce the penetrating power of garlic. It is very useful for hypertension and cholesterol.

Hello,....I eat garlic, cooked as well as raw daily. We Indians use garlic as a spice and eat raw.garlic contains the anti-oxidant allicin, which blocks toxins produced by viruses and bacteria.it can lower the cholesterol and may reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering blood pressure.it also reduces the risk of cancer and improves circulation of blood in the legs.so it better to eat at least a clove of garlic daily.you just eat a clove of it in the morning in empty stomach and drink a glass of water.thanx.

Good to see you've found the wonders of garlic! Consider trying garlic capsules, which are absorbed differently and will NOT cause stomach discomfort(or garlic breath:) These can be purchased at health food stores, catalogs such as Puritan, and even at WalMart. Good health to you!
