The cupboard under the stairs needs sorting - which job are you putting off?

I keep opening the door to the cupboard and closing it again, there are boxes of videos that need to be sorted for the charity shop, clothes that my daughters wanted to sell, designer stuff to go on Ebay and in general anything that hasn't a set place indoors. I want to sort but just look at and think I'll do it another day. What jobs are you putting off?
Do you just shut the cupboard door so you can't see it sometimes like I do?

Haha! I know what you mean. We have a cupboard like that with a 'junk monster' in residence. Open the door and he attacks you and you are lucky not to be buried alive! haha
The biggest job I'm putting off is making a job list of all the things I've got to do!!
Hey ho. I'm going sailing next week so all the jobs will have to be put off for a while.

You saying about being attacked by the cupboard is just so funny and the other week I needed to get something from right at the back, hence I now know it needs sorting, and got stuck, I really thought I was going to have to bang on the wall for the neighbour to help me!
Just shut up the cupboard door and enjoy your sailing. It will still be there waiting to attack upon your return. he, he. Ellie :D

Thanks. It's been 'blowing old boots' this week. Pretty unusual to have summer gales in the south of the UK.
I expect next week will be a flat calm! haha Just my luck!
Still we have a jolly time whatever the weather.

At the moment I'm putting off cleaning the outside of my windows, because I'm very lazy.....it's too hot, and I don't have the time. I'm hoping any rain that might come will wash off the dirt and save me a job, but of course it won't.

Oh the windows is yet another one I put off to so can understand that one completely, especially if it is too hot. I will attempt to do the cupboard but will probably wait until over the weekend now when I am not clock watching so much as I have a feeling it will take some time LOL. Ellie :D

lol good luck with it. Not sure when I'll get around to mine...but one thing I can say is that the Quentin Crisp quotation is true - "After four years, it doesn't get any worse".
Have a good day :-)

Oh you have pushed a sensitive button here. I couldn't finish dusting our attic even this week end. Yesterday, I finished off all my weekend chores and thought that i wold do attic as well. But i got lazy and tired and also wanted to catch up with my favorite Culinary show on TV. I did not do it. Wish to do it on next Sunday.

Well, I need to organize the hall closet.
It's supposed to be used for bathroom linens like
towels and bed sheets and such.
It's called the linen closet.
But right now, it's being used to store many assorted
items including old books, video tapes we no longer watch;
old toys; old clothes noone wears.
Well, I should just throw it all out.
It's a mess.
I need to clean off the big table in my laundry room
so that my cats have somewhere to sleep at night.
Right now, there are three PC monitors on the table, plus
a broken TV and cat carrier.
We don't use any of that stuff.
I could probably sell the PC monitors, but they are so old,
not sure anyone could use them!

There are SO many jobs I'm putting off, ellie! My three daughters have left home, but each of them has left various things, which are all stored in the spare room. We are hoping to retire soon and sell our house - and I know I should get rid of all the extra stuff before we go. Trouble is, I don't want to chuck it out, but none of the girls are keen on having it cluttering up their homes (some of which are thousands of kilometres away) - so I keep looking at it and closing the door again! Ah well ... there's always tomorrow ...

Hi You do exactly the same as me then, I have just been shutting the cupboard door. I also have this in my spare room. I have a chest of drawers that don't fit in my daughters house share, bottom drawer full of scarfs, a trampoline, all sorts. Crazy isn't it. Ellie :D

For me it would be the garage and the shed. I keep buying new tools as I can't find where the old ones are and I could manage to do the garden if I could get into the shed. Ken

I think it would save you a lot of money if you did manage to get around to clearing these out, like me if I got round to doing my cupboard I would have so much more room and actually know what I have rather than not find it and buy again like you are doing. Thank you for sharing. Ellie :D

Oh Hatley I can so relate to that one also. I did it a while back but it really needs to be done again as half the stuff doesn't fit, plus I will go buy a top in that colour as I haven't one and then suddenly find I have two or three hidden in amongst. Lets pick a day and a time and you do the closet and I will do the cupboard under the satirs, perhaps that will motivate us noth eh! LOL. Ellie :D
