My four year old has his nursery sports day today and would really love me to be there but I work and unfortunately as I have a home visit next week and am going in late can't again today. Do you worry if you are a working mum that you are letting your children down in some way if unable to attend these events?
I would love to go and see my little man race and having fun and feel a bit sad that I will miss it. Please share how you feel or have felt in the past about this. Ellie :D

I am a father and was always working when my children were little, I think it is the mums that work that feel this more. I just used to get told excitedly about it all when I got home. Sorry that you missed your sons day. Ken

I'm sure your son understands that Mommy
works and can't be at all events.
But he knows that you love him
and that is the important part.
Working is a part of life and it's not
always possible to accomodate their sports
schedules.
You're there for other things that he does and that's good.
You can be a good Mom while bringing in money.
It's the modern age! Anything is possible for women.

I must have felt very sad , I can feel Ellie. The working mothers can never come with terms with the compromise they have to make with their children. But then we have to work it out to our best possibility.
