How you received a chain letter. I have been receiving a lot of chain letters way back High School days. I have been receiving them in the form of postal mail, emails, and now even on the mobile phone. What I hate about chain letters are the statements saying 'you have to pass the message to people else you will encounter bad luck'. There are even chain letters that narrates the 'bad luck' of people breaking the chain. They are very scary that I'm tempted to do and continue the chain. However, I don't believe them and I believe that we make our own lives and destiny. So those postal chain letters end up in the trash and I ignore those that I receive in my email and cellphone. What are your experiences regarding chain letters and how do you deal them?

I find most chain letters a waste of my time and energy. Sometime, I'm annoyed at the person who sent the chain letter to me. I rarely forward them to anyone. And, I don't recall having any of the "bad luck" these letters threaten for people who "break the chain." I occasionally come across one that is thought-provoking but that is rare, and usually I think they are pretty silly. Take care. PearlGrace

It's good that you did not receive the type of chain letters with 'bad luck' if you break the chain. The consequences stated there are pretty scary that you would want to just follow what is being told you to do. Although I'm quite stubborn and I never pay attention to them. And thanks God, nothing bad luck has happen to me yet. Thanks for sharing your experience and have a great day!

The people who make these are bored. I don't believe in the one bit. It's all junk mail of one or another form and I wouldn't miss them one bloody bit if they were to disappear suddenly from this earth. Heck. I'd rejoice. I've never replied to these fowl things and I refuse to. Luck is just a way of thinking and I'd never let a silly little letter sway that.

Yes, I also think they are a waste of time so I just ignore them. Some people though are afraid about the supposed 'consequence' for breaking the chain and they end up sending mails to other people. I agree that only God knows and He is always there to guide us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience about this topic. Have a great day!
